Jiyyd Rumors
-
Fadia, the archdruid of the Rawlinswood, was thrown out of Jiyyd one evening for making death threats towards the bard Elor, swearing to burn down the Alliance Arms Inn and everyone in it, including women and children, over a matter involving a white deer. Even when she was removed, she she made it quite clear that she'd 'deal' with Elor and everyone involved with him. Elor's comment on the matter is simple, and refers to the elf's state of mind quickly degrading.

Rumours spread that Merin Wyerspell, the hin mage, is practicing dark magical experiments in his home, with various occult lights spilling from the windows after dark.
-
Apparently a few legion members decided to bring death unto a force of two dozens Eastlanders that stood peacefully around the destroyed bridge, massacring them in a couple of seconds. After the gory deed was done, they kept shouting for a free pass for all.

_Un fist o' Iron….dah other o' Steel.....If'n dah right un don't get yeh......den dah LEFT UN WILL!"
The wild looking dwarf can be heard singing his portion of what is being called the Thorbrand Battle Song throughout town. Rumors circulate that these newcomers to the region waged a war on the Windy plains. Some say they killed a duerger....some say five duerger... One thing is for sure. The Thorbrands have arrived._
-
All through the night, rowdy dwarven songs fill the air as the Thorbrand clan appear to have settled and made their home in Jiyyd, whether this is due to all the orcs, giants and duergar is speculation. Whatever the reason, one particular song can be heard above all long into the night
_HEADS'O STONE!
BALLS 'A MITHRIL!
DEH LEFT FIST MADE O' IRON
DEH RIGHT O' STEELWHEN DE RIGHT DON'T HIT
DEN DE LEFT WUN WULL!_It is rumoured the dwarves singing is the prime cause of cats howling in apparant pain, during the night

Jiyyd emptied of it's bolder folk when word came of a massing Eastlander army at the crossroads. While these people didn't see an army they did see the evidence of battle; blood and the bodies of many folk in Eastlander colours stood out against the snow. There are murmumings that people who dallied a little longer in the Nars than the majority saw this civil war for themselves.

Rumours fly about The Dark Enchantress having been reborn as The Pale Enchantress. Carrying a glowing staff, it is said that her gown might mark her as one of The Sisterhood. Perhaps some plan to discredit the Sisterhood or to protect herself, or possibly mere coincidence.
-
Cries of "FOR CLANGADIN" and "PRAISE TA SILVABEARD" can be heard throughout jiyyd the past day as a clan of rowdy dwarves have been seen sweeping through the city. The five brothers claim to have taken down a duergar, which they heartily talk about constantly, as well as a number of orcs including a rather large one. Thier most recent escapade saw them rolling an entire keg of Red Army Ale out of the legion halls, seemingly knowingly as they rolled it past legion members, and into the caves in jiyyd. Statements of "ALE!" and "OI! ALE!" were routine as it was rolled over and they seem to be licking thier chops waiting for the entire family to get together to partake in the celebration with the keg

Peter is often overheard talking about the Alliance Arms Inn. He seems disappointed that such a nice establishment isn't visited more often, and often makes comments about the friendly staff, well-stocked bar, and beautiful surroundings that can be found there…
-
Tindra, on one of her visits into town, generally avoids any talk about the Dark Enchantress. She seems to get a bad headache whenever her name is mentioned. One thing Tindra does say, however, is that anybody would be a complete fool to think that the Dark Enchantress is dead.

Tales spread that The Dark Enchantress passed through Jiyyd killing one person foolish enough to attack her , she advised a number of adventurers present that there is a large force of Yuan-ti in the plains, she then passd on and went out to the plains intent on their destrucktion, some time after a huge force of adventurers went out to bare witness to it and to fight the Yuan-ti, the adventurers were hard pressed against the force, the Enchantress herself was in a bad state fighting against one of the Yuan-ti forces of nature, it was obvious she was not holding her own though only one person stepped in to help using negative energy to heal her first, then firebrands to harm the Yuan-ti, apparently to no avail, the Yuan-ti Destroyed the Enchantress and fled to the spiders cave, after the death there was heard a bloodcurdling scream all through the plains. . .many celebrate her death, some are skeptical saying she was immortal and c ould not be destroyed, is this really the end of the dark enchantress?

Rumors abound of the eastlanders on the Nars attacking a large caravan traveling from Peltarch to Norwick, and it being defended by Legion members and other brave souls from Jiyyd.
It is said that upwards of a hundred bandits fell in the conflict, before the wagons reached Norwick.
-
Word has it driders, creatures of pure evil, forged in the image of a Forbidden goddess, attacked Eastlanders just cutting through them, and eventually even a lone drider found its way to Jiyyd, burning down all the grass on the plains, destroying trees and hurling around huge stones. Also it seems some people were planning to go visit the driders and bring death into their very lair. Although it seems some people speak more about planning to go there, then actually going there. Two members of the sisterhood apparently made sure no driders dared to remain outside of their hiding holes, following a trail of um destruction er right er to um the er entrance um of er their er hole.

Rumors fly about the small village of Ormpur and it's recent state. Some say that the place is nothing more than a ghost town now. The few caravans that head that way report no one in the town. Some say that Just'ene has even visited herself with the help of some adventurers and has found nothing. Whatever has happened to the small village has gotten her interested it seems.

A white, misty spirit is seen every now and then. While seeing a spirit can often be unnerving, this spirit seems to radiate benevolance. Those who've been around Jiyyd for a while will recognize the fact that this spirit has been around for a while, though he seems more frequent these days. The Legion has been seen quite often to converse with the spirit.

Rumor has it something shiney was seen at the bottom of the jiyydian swamp's cave, but the last group going after it came back with a bit of webbing on them. Is there something actually there, or is this just a dead rumor passed on a bit to much?
((this is meant for a lowbie/newbie group as a PC run event, if the server hasn't crashed or anything gotten yet So i'll kindly ask higher level PC's or oldies that can just run there to not pick up anything they find kind of…strange ))

One Sierra Ju'ent, while apparently preparing to set off on a journey to her parent's home in Tethyr, seems to have fainted in the Regal Whore, showing the symptoms of a high fever. When she did not regain consciousness, the staff of the Regal Whore carried her to the Healer's cottage, and deposited her there until a time when she might be collected and taken elsewhere. All attempts thus far to relieve the fever or revive her have failed.

Whispers spread of the "Sisterhood" traveling to Ormpur to search for survivors. All the sisters that left on the trip returned, some bruised and beaten, speaking of hungry wolves and frost giants. Nyda is seen carrying a little girl into town with her.
-
Rumors fly that a patrol canvassing the remains of Ormpur in an attempt to discover what became of it's citizenry was assaulted from gates and walls by a large group of trolls.
Major Lyte of the Legion, who has often been seen pulling together groups to discover whatever it was that killed off the town's people, hypothesises that these might be the creatures who attacked the town, as they dropped over the walls and could have well caught the townfolk off guard.
She claims all the attacking trolls were killed and burned, and word carries that the party, consisting of Pete, Lilly, Riama, Silinia, and Evia, also explored the caves and glens in the region, to make sure no more of these creatures were hiding nearby.

_Rumors spread of a fight breaking out over a giant chicken man with an apple in the place of his crotch, and ribbons instead of a rooster's plume. No one's exactly sure why he was dressed like this, but word is that the man who was all but clucking is the one and only Rolan Benthor.
Rolan's sister, arriving at the end of the practical joke, seemed to have not to have taken it in the good humor that everyone else did, pulling blade in threatening manner towards a number of people over the joke.
Later that day, several Jiyydians were seen chasing after a naked gnome, who carried a journal writing down several notes during his streaking episode, which may or may not have had something to do with a self moving exploding archery target, which was intended to pay a visit to the orcs.
Rumor confirms that a target has still yet to make it to the orcs, though several Jiyydians have been temporarily blinded, turned into popsicles, and struck deaf in the process._
