Jiyyd Rumors

  • Following some kind of Duel outside the town gates a few hours later Nyda walks into town dragging the victor of that duel unceremoniously by his ankle, his face raw and blook and his body badly beaten. She drags him into the healers and emerges a short while later, looking no different to how she has recently. Stopping only to pick up a very fat Tiggles and take her indoors to sleep, she settles into the commons and occassionally cries silently and seemingly unaware she is doing it.

The fallen warrior emerges some time later from the healers and spends a lot of time glaring at his feet.

  • A very sated Tiggles can be seen waddling around, for once having eat too much pie. A trail of pie tins marking her path until she finally collapses.

"Eater of Pie.. is.. vanquished.." and she passes out, a furry badger running out the inn door and licking the pie from her face and then sleeping on her stomach.

  • Rumors spread of the mysterious appearances of pies throughout Jiyyd. Many believe this is the work of an orc magi trying to poison the many pie-loving inhabitants of the valley and Jiyyd, while others think Shantie has given up on mushrooms and decided to plant pie seeds.

  • THe happy little hin watches her biggest sister, looking rather unhappy as she watches unseen despite how Nyda's mood seems to pick up slightly as she comes near. As often as she can, she trails Nyda like a little shadow trying to keep her cheered up with her general chatter, lollipops and lots and lots of hugs.

  • Nyda seems to have lost all sense of joy and fun. She performs her duties and manages to raise smiles for her sisters but otherwise moves around almost trancelike doing what seems needful. She often disappears though and returns a while later looking tear-stained.

  • *Those around the farmlands and western gates of Jiyyd could see two large half orcs standing over a small women and threatening her. A few moments later another large apparently halforcish figre appeared. After a minute or so talking the newcomer started a small brawl with the other two and eventally the two halforcs left heading west. The halforc took the women back to Jiyyd and once inside the light of the town appeared to be of the Leigon wearing there colors and bearing a captin insignia.

A few days later the same Leigonaire headed west and meeting one of the two half orcs from the days before. After a heated discssuion in orcish one of the halforcs cried " GRUMASH GIVES ME STRENGTHS " And striked the other. After a small fight in which the halforc called aid from Grumash several times being "blessed" with minor healing eventally fell to the ground bloodied. The Leigonaire stood over the body and surpsingingly gave it mercy and left it. Following this the other halforc from the night a few days before appeared dragging his brother away bloody and close to death.*

  • Rumors of a truly amazing person, who no high level mage or sneak can ever spy and who themselves can perfectly see all other higher level mages and sneaks without a chance of ever getting caught, circulate around Jiyyd.

His colorful signs reputedly miraculously appear out of nowhere.

He always automatically spots other sneaks before they can spot him, thus foiling detection.

Mightier than the famed sniper of Jiyyd, stealthier than the elusive and crafty orc mage of the windy plains, this completely impervious and superpowered mastermind of a graffiti artist is purported to instantly know when invisible guards watch the gate, and then shrugs off his stealth, pretending he never was sneaky to begin with.

The citizens of Jiyyd shake their head at this whopper of a not even interesting story, as it is too wildly illogical and impossible to amuse the most gullible inhabitants of the town.

  • With the constant watching, Elorathall no longer bothers with stealth, freely hanging up his notes where he can on the walls. Lately, he has started putting up drawings of a peaceful orc community with woman and children, living off the land in a strange version of jiyyd, until red-eyed creatures with black and blue armor come down from the mountains and slaughter the town. The writing beneath the drawing reads:
Hail the heroic defenders of good, tolerance and peace.

  • Rumors spread from various citizens of Jiyyd of Major Lyte having a heated confrontation with a man who encouraged and actively rooted for orcs that accosted Jiyyd saying "good" when they pounded down it's citizenry to the ground.

According to whispered rumors, when these orcs broke down the gates and murdered citizens, this man lifted not a finger to help in it's defense…but very loudly accused others of cowardice, that made the claims Legion was bad and the orcs were misunderstood, and generally tried to cause anarchy in the town when he encouraged people who were sparring outside it's gates to instead "kill one another".

Amongst the Legion, especially, tongues begin to wag that this man might secretly work for the orcs, and could be some manner of spy, and that he ought to be watched.

  • Rumor has it that Major Mog of the Legion has posted several sneaks, rangers, and druids that no one can detect or know about it with the sharpest eyes and ears around the gates to take notes on who posts notes. Also it is rumored if somehow the note is still posted that they are excellent trackers and will follow the tracks.

    ((slight humor above))

  • With the destruction of the gates, a new note appears, simply reading "Well Done". Whether this is directed at the orcs, or a sarcastic mention of the Legion's defense, is something of speculation amongs the townsfolk.

  • rumors spread of a particularly tricky orcish magi that frustrates legion patrols on the plains, and has even been so bold as to keg the doors of the legion hall.

  • Zyphlin can be seen with his fine Ice Mirror out next to the gate for an hour, his eyes murky as he looks at the writing in between staring into the mirror as he casts a spell

  • Next to it, in even nicer handwriting:

"Legionnaires fall to ensure Jiyyd's wall stands tall."

EDIT: changed the original it was confusing

  • _A note is pinned to the gates during the night. Nobody saw anyone putting the note there, and if torn down, another copy is pinned to the walls the following night.

On the note is a drawing resembling the Legion mark, with the words "Destroyers", "Warmongers", "Murderers" scribbled around the symbol in flowing letters_

  • tala has been seen in quiet conversation with a man in blue and white robes that speaks very softly. They seem animated in their discussions even if the are quiet.

  • _Whispers buzz among the housewives and gossipy adventurers of Jiyyd:

The bard Sil and her human lover Cike shared a long and tender conversation by Jiyyd Pond, parting ways at the end with a soft kiss on the cheek. In recent days and weeks, the two have not been seen together…_

  • A written note pinned to the wall of the Regal Whore reads:

_I think we should have warning signs about those crystals. I want to put some up by the crystals themselves and by the gates to each town. Anyone who can provide about five or six deadwood planks should look for Genzir Malark. You will be given a more than fair price for the planks, although I would not mind if somebody is willing to provide them for free as a service to the good peolpe of the land.

For Knowledge, Travel and Fair Warnings!

    Genzir Malark_

  • Rumor is spreading slowly but surely, that someone evidentally is looking for mercenariers/wannabes, preferably unaffiliated for a proposal. Not many details are mentioned very often. Drugo's name is mentioned, and seems that he is taking information of those interested.

//trashed 350 gold thought that'd be enough to entice the Whore inkeep into holding onto some paper.

Just pm me via the forums (user name Etherian) with char's name, and of course a way to reach them.
