Jiyyd Rumors
-
_After what appeared to be a barbecue of cooked chickens and a heated debate about the nature of evil and working with lesser evils to stop another, There was what can only be described as a magical disturbance on the west road leading towards jiyyd. Several legion members, along with Zyphlin and Kara were met by more dreamstalkers and an appearing rift. The young girl known as Clover appeared next after Zyphlin reached into the rift, wreathed in a coating of silvery blue magical fire.
After fending off the following dreamstalker, Zyphlin and company attempted to lessen the apparant fever raging through the little girl and later called Vroka out for assistance. Showing only slight improvement after considerable magic, the group set out to try and find Clover's lost friends, slipping through the same rift she had come from, not moments before.
What exactly happened is known only by the group, but some time after their disappearance, the group reappeared with thirty children and Clover being carried by kara from the Jiyyd Menhir, missing one arm. She was quickly taken to Vroka, and the children guided to the helm temple. A cloaked individual was seen leaving the gates of Jiyyd afterwards, flanked by members of the legion.
Some days later, a small wagon was seen trundling up the road from Norwick with a light guard, bearing food and blankets for the children recovered from the rift land._

_Observers from nearby the western Jiyyd walls report the strange sight of the enigmatic girl Clover speaking with several adventurers, notably the Knight Kara and a few Legionnaires.
During this time, the area near Jiyyd shook with several small tremors. Keen-eyed observers would notice that the quakes coincided with the girl's cute little sneezes.
Vroka was summoned and ministered to the child for a short while, but was seemingly unable to help. A very large and very pink monster attacked the group, dissipating as it was defeated. Vroka returned to her shop while the adventurers followed Clover through a portal she miraculously created from thin air.
Hours later, the bard Sil was accompanied by an armored figure as she led a group of about 20 young children to the temple of Helm. The Helmites are caring for the children in the temple until more permanent arrangements can be made.
Sil and the man (Dermin) met with Kara and Uchi, who took Clover to Vroka's. Recent visitors to the healer might see the one-armed form of Clover resting on a pallet, being tended by Vroka. In the following days, shipments of food, blankets, and clothing arrive from Norwick and are taken to the temple of Helm._

Those gathjered where repulsed by the smell but no more so thawn the person with it on there face. Within seconds he had gotn up and flailed about trying to get them away from him. As soon as they where a few feet away before being vilontly sick by one of the lamposts. The underwear where then burned before they killled all the animals and most of the people around._

Dwin Dolvak can be seen wandering around town in a much happier mood than most Jiyydians are accustomed to seeing him in.
-
Tanin Valdar, leader of the newly forming elven warband, can be seen standing on the bluff overlooking town often of late. He seems rather pale and withdrawn, and less jovial than his usual self. There is a rumor that he died at the hands of a demon-wolf and its pack, only to be raised by a cleric of Torm.
-
A Legion patrol accompanied by many brave heroes mounted an assault on the gnolls of the former Romani camp!
The group fought into the center of the inner camp, slaying several of the demon priests and a score or more of gnolls. Despite their victories, the group was forced to retreat after sustaining the loss of a comrade.
Dirty from battle but triumphant in victory, they marched back to Jiyyd, raising the unfortunate wizard and toasting well-earned drinks.

A group went out to the orcs, the two recently returned sellswords amongst them. An old human man, an female elf warrior, a skinny male elf, a hin ranger and a female human cleric formed the rest of the party. They came back after a while, without very serious injuries. The talk of the group was how an orc had thrown the hin up a cliff, and all the trouble it took them to get down. When asked, they would respond that the trip went fine, and that they even took a look inside Mintas.
-
Two tired-looking travellers wandered into town today. One a human, the other a dwarf, they traded banter back and forth until looking for a place to stay. Older residents of Narfell might recognize them as the two sellswords, Daeren and Umail who have been gone for some 10 years now.

Aelhaearn looks at Sy and is concerened that he seems even flimsier than before. He offers Ginger a few gold for supplies and a little extra for pie if she and her sisters would make a nice chicken dinner for Sy so he can put some meat on those bones.
-
Sy'wyn has been seen in the Jiyyd commons more often as of the past few days. Leaning heavily on his staff, rumor has it that not only was he in the group that went to the twisted drow outpost after the Dramstone Plague, but was also an important part of the recovery of the elven bard Sil. Seemingly still pale and drawn from his death in the Lost City, the small elf certainly seems thinner and has a haunted look to his eyes, lately muttering about giant eyes, and beware the things with wings.

A rumour makes its way down south from the Silver Valley that the orcs guard a secret fenberry plantation somewhere on the plains southwest of Jiyyd. The exact whereabouts of the plantation isn't said.
-
The sun rises over Jiyyd. Through open windows and greeting the residents of the town drifts a clear, sweet melody like spring rain. The bard Sil has returned.
-
Belade reports that she managed to heal some sick people without resorting to berries. She also asks for people to look for Clover.
-
People all over the town of Jiyyd occasionally get the feeling of being watched. While an odd sensation at first, a benevolance can be felt. Some people also claim again of seeing a white, misty spirit.
-
Vroka has a small store of fenberry past now thanks to the help of Cike and a number of others. She has no idea how long it stays good though and she's been brought tell of larger nastier nightmares than have been usual thus far being seen up near Peltarch. She heard they wer tracked underground tos ome drow outpsost in the underdark that was overrun with the Dramstone Plague as it has come to be called bya few. That is what Vroka has come to call it. THis lastest ines is most distrubing to Vroka as she also heard the drow outpost itself had ben twisted as if in a nightmare or dream itself.

Elor, being a member of the Alliance, lets Kara and the others involved know that although the Alliance ground are open to all, and events held there are always welcome, to let him or another Alliance member know of such happenings. It's only good manners to ask permission before you start a party in someone else' house, after all.
-
_Rumours spread of an a tourney held in the alliance arms inn a few nights ago, sponsored by Errhanous , Vine Gelin and Lady Kara Du'Monte. Among sparring and some dueling fun, there was an archery contest held. All involved are reported to have enjoyed the competition a great deal and several people even walked away with heavier purses.
It was a night of revelry and enjoyment, with no mention of the crystals to be had anywhere within two leagues._

_Rumors spread into Jiyyd of an odd sight on the orc fields near the western cliffs that holds the entrace to the spider cave. There are close to forty orcs spread in a half semi-circle around a single orc laying face flat in the grass. Anyone who takes time to look closer would see all of the orcs in the circle were felled by a single arrow either to their chest or head, but the orc in the center seems to have been hit multiple times in the legs, some of the shafts broken, some underneath the body. There is a ten foot trail of blood leading to the orc and from closer towards the cliff wall, obviously the lone orc died from blood loss, as opposed to any of the arrow wounds.
Possibly related was the sighting of the body of an orcish destroyer in front of the orc stronghold, seemingly dragged there from a long distance from the marks in the grass. The lack of a head and the pool of blood show that it was at least beheaded in the location it sits now, and from the looks of the amount of blood on the broken blade beside it, it seems its own blade was used to remove the missing head._

Rumours begin in Jiyyd of the forming of an Elven Warband. It is said that an elven ranger has begun gathering some of his kin to fight the evils in Narfell together.
-
Rumours carry up from Norwick about a planned expedition to a ruined temple beneith the spider caverns on the central plains due within the next moon cycle or so. Details appear to be sketchy at best without asking, although it appears to be a routine expedition to check on the graves, as one would a cemetary
