Jiyyd Rumors

Thanks in part to the inaction of many people in Jiyyd several farms are now in ruin from an attack by the huge water elementals. Many say that some stood by and watched as one elemental devistated a single farm in a matter of moments. Only Jaher was seen trying to defend Jiyyd and was greviously injured for his attempt. The crops in many farms lay on their side in a puddle of water and mud as they are no longer able to support themselves. Meanwhile some say a dark figure was seen right after the most recent attack.

The sharp-eyed among Jiyyd's wayfarers may spot the occasional leather-clad wanderer heading north from the road to the pass and entering the forest there. Those curious enough to follow may find offerings at the foot of various trees, as if the bearers were unsure of which tree should be the subject of the offering.

Aelhaearn crosses his thick arms over his robust chest.
"It is a pity the old woman in the tree from the Rom camp is not around any more, Magistrate. She would pay top dollar for that eye."
He turns to look at the coven.
"Is that the Banite whore you were talking about? I forgot to ask her if she is a Banite that is a whore, or a whore for Banites."

From out of nowhere, an eyeball is tossed at Zyphlin as he mutters. Although it doesn't hurt, having an eye tossed into your lap is never pleasant.
After this, a pair of feet can be heard scurrying off, together with something that sounds like a deep and distorted giggle

_Many local residents of Jiyyd would notice a small, growing band of women clad in crimson and black robes, calling each other Sister, strolling throughout Jiyyd. Several of the crimson robbed women are seen looking at property for sale, seeming mainly interested in a place with a large home and some land for gardening.
All of the Sisters, with the exception of a white haired, snow skinned elf, are polite and talkative, lending a hand where ever they can to better and protect the growing farm community. The elf seem either shy or anti-social.
It is rumored that elder Sister, Nicahh, the only scarlet haired woman in the group of mostly blondes, is seen handing out warm robes, armor, and even weapons to women who have fallen upon hard times; often offering them short or long term jobs to help the women get back on their feet._

*Wog can be seen being taken into heal wonders hevily beaten, 10 minutes later he leaves nuttering about losing 5000 gold in goods and 1500 gold.
He can now be seen hiding away from Vall in fear that he is gonna get wipped*

Words spread about the return of the human Laura Mortan. She seems to be well and still viberant. Her absense is still unknown to many but she now look s as if shes learned a thing or two while she was away.

_A curious sight was witnessed in Jiyyd as a troll carrying several powderkegs suddenly appeared in Jiyyd. The troll appeared in midstride on the way out of town. Upon appearing, the troll hissed and ran out the gates before the stunned watch could react.
A few minutes later, a thunderous explosion could be heard from the direction of the pass.
These events coincided with sightings and the subsequent disappearance of a large flying creature with bat wings and red scaled skin.
Those with a particular interest in the crystals might notice that a crystal near the crossroads is now missing. Its former location is covered with charred bits of powderkeg and a fine crystal-dust._

Rumors spread of a brown-robed, and popular dwarf who's often seen standing at one end of very long lines. These rumors claim that he has been seen flirting with a certain red-haired elven Legionaire.

*_The Half orc/elf known to most as Wog is now seen looking scairly depressed. Rumors of why this is are numeros and none are sure if any or all are corrct.
Some say that me is missing Sil and is worried about her safty.
Others say he is still in greiving of Laura Mortan, the young sorceress that he had spent alot of time with.
Rumors suggest that he has had news about some disturbing infomation.
Or that deamons are after him along with many assasins and churchs.
Or that his arm is causing him extreme pain since it was ripped off his body.
Others state that he is sick of being looked down upon becuase of his race.
Or that women are just blaitenetly confusing him.
Evan that he is getting sick of paperowrk for the leigon.
Few know if there are any truth behind these rumors but he dosnt talk to anyone much anymore and when he dose it is rare it is longer than a sentence long_*

_Another rift appeared in Jiyyd in the previous days that has left the town talking still. Many worry and speak quite openly about one of the town's healers, Vroka and her bravery during the most recent attack. During the attack giant rock elementals and fire elementals spewed from the earth and rampaged through the town. Many crops were trampled beneath their giant feet and the fire elementals were seen setting fires to the crops. Even going as far to ignore the brave attackers that were fighting them off in an effort to reach, what would seem, their real goal.
Vroka was heard to speak only one word during the attack, but many people are confused on just what she had said. She collapsed shortly after and has not fully recovered still. People talk of how she, through her prayers to Chauntea, closed the rift that opened. Many speak about how it seemed as if she was fighting some unseen force._

Rumor has it that a man appeared during a demon attack wielding a sword awkwardly, his other arm held fast in a sling and wearing no armor and was charging into battle, until some woman in armor quickly sent him back to town. Supposedly he went like a dog with its tail down between its legs, and would later be heard often, grumbling and sometimes yelling about "TEN BLOODY DAYS!"

_A calm, red robed monk from the East passes on news to citzens of Jiyyd: should they see a blue mage, they are to ring the gong to alert a talking tree that lives near Jiyyd to his presence. The mage commands fire and rats.
How many believe, make sense of or follow her words remains to be seen…._

_News the Dark enchantress appeared inside jiyyd again. It is not widely known what she wanted but it was in her normal mood.
Also news that once the now depressed leigonaire wog heard she was inside jiyyd he walks stright up to her, says something and shes kills him on the sopt. He is then seen later walking out of jiyyd looking annoyed and evan more depressed and heads west_

The slender elf Eluriel is conspicuously visible in Jiyyd as she seeks out a great many people and says the same thing to each of them. Everyone she has seen trying to help the poisoned dryad and everyone she considers a friend of the wilds she makes this request of;
Please, when you visit the dryad’s tree in the spider woods make mention neither of her nor of it and better still that no indication of their location is made. Tis perhaps best not to leave gifts for her and even to remove any you should see there lest they draw attention to that area.
If questioned any on this matter, her answer is but one word hissed with revulsion. Drow.

Vertus Dahl the Kossuthan Orator Priest hears of troubling earthquakes in this part of narfell and goes to speak with Vroka about concerns of the powers of the elements and to discuss matters of faith.
He then goes to speak to the legion about whether they think the orcs are responsible for these disturbances of the elements.
He spends much time in prayer close to a roaring fire in the queit borders of the town in prayer to his lord for insight on the cause of these disturbances.

Fires dot the plains in the night as the orcs continue on their patrols. Vroka reports that another wagon carrying healing supplies has never made it back to Jiyyd with the goods. It was expected a few tenday ago and she is worried the orcs have ambushed it as they have others in the past. Chants of "Grag the Coward" can be heard from the orcs in the plains. Those who understand the language can hear the chant coming from the plains as if taunting the Legion general.
