Jiyyd Rumors
-
Earlier this morning, painful screams and cries were heard coming from inside the Healing Wonders. A few hours later, Elridith, Syclya, and Minu emerged to announce that Senria had just given birth to a beautiful, bouncing baby girl. Both the mother and the baby are doing fine. A grinning Senria and Alexi both can be seen pouring over their new baby whom they have named Shara.

_Word has it that the trolls of the swamp caused some commotion and grief recently. Apparently the Keeper of the Spellweaver and two elves of the Shesae were caught in the middle of a gathering of the Troll chieftains, and at that point it went ugly. Genzir of the Keep and the Shevarashan warrior called Ridian were quickly brought down, while the archer of Shevarash called Sinu'selira somehow managed to dodge enough lightning bolts to make her way back to Jiyyd.
Quickly a formidable party of adventurers was formed, and spearheaded by heroes such as Aelthas Benthur, Vell'cam Aseldor and Sara the Silent Traveller they made their way to rescue the fallen. Rumour has it that the following battles were intense and the gathering of Troll Chieftains gave the rescuers very hard time, but in the end the fallen and their belongings were brought back to Jiyyd without further loss of lives.
Genzir was later seen to walk out of Vroka's looking somewhat pale but otherwise all right. But the elf, Ridian, hasn't been seen since, and some townsfolk say that his lifeless body is still kept at the healer's house for some reason._

I have split the posts relating to Arikess's arrest into a separate thread.))_**

Following a quiet talk between the two in Jiyyd, rumour spreads that the troublesome paladin Sylvain is actually a love child of Natanya and Aelthas, aged through some bizarre magical process.
-
Dwin walks around town, staring into people's eyes. He asks a few of the guards if they have seen anyone wth "lavendar eyes" recently.
He hands them a few coins each and says to send them his way if any show up.
-
Lily can be seen within town with a genral air of annoyance in the latest antics of Jiyyd's locals. If asked she simply replies in fashion Seems ta me Jiyyd 'as more ta worry 'bout these days then squabblin' among one another…
-
This even, though small in the annals of Jiyyd history, marked a rather large milestone in the overal history of Narfell. Zyphlin and Dwin actually agreed on something.
During the confusion, it is also rumored that Dwin escorted the annoying Sylvain outside of the gates where he also "beat the snot out of the earsling." Some speculate that the root of all these problems is the lad himself, and that stronger measures should be taken to shut the pie-holes of annoying folks in town.
-
Concerning the brawl in jiyyd, many others however had different opinions on the matter. The militia man Damien Colten was seen arguing with the town council member the dwarf Dwin for a long time. Supposedly arguing that the two who had assisted him had broken the law though the dwarf dismissed this.
There were a few who disagreeded with Damien, one of whom identified to be the famous Zyphlin was seen disputing with him as well.
-
_Word spreads like wildfire that someone finally punched out the annoying paladin Sylvain right by the cookfire. It is said that it was the ex-militia man Aelthas who did the deed. After which, Damian the militiaman attempted to arrest him.
The thing people seem to find disturbing is the fact that two others, two not of the militia. A Divine Shield squire named Sywyn and a mage that some know as Arikess decided it was thier right to enforce laws in Jiyyd also and attacked Aelthas.
Apparently having the charges dismissed by Dwin and serving no time in jail and paying no fine for thier assault.
Aelthas is seen grinning on his way to jail and grinning after he is released as he goes to speak to Jus'tene right away.
He only makes one comment public about the situation.._
It was well worth the 200 gold fine and the week in jail to punch that annoying arse right in the face.
-
Moving around town in Legion colors, Milshot sharply salutes just about everyone he sees. He is seen standing near the gate regularly and tends to it as folks come and go, making sure it is closed and latched as it should be. Well in spirit and a smile on his face, he seems rather happy and certainly content. He speaks to old, familiar friends and does his best to greet those he is unfamiliar with… always with a crisp, sharp, and practiced salute.
On that note, some may notice the small bruises previously seen on his forehead are gone now.

A polite and friendly herbalist from Peltarch is noticeable on the southern hills and long road sketching views of the approaches and nearby watercourses.
If approached, she's happy to share her work. Tucked into her bulging notebook are pressings of interesting flowers, some sketches of the various medicinally useful plants of the nearby swamps, and some preliminary designs for crude earthworks and thorn barricades to make the approaches south and west more defensible.
Fortunately she seems to have no official mandate for these plans, so the farmers on the east road don't need to worry too much about the utter lack of defences protecting their homes.
// Thanks to the unknown DM who made herb-gathering yesterday much more interesting. Anyone interested in Niamh's defensive plans can contact me IG or by PM.

More rumors make the rounds regarding goblins summoning undead in the rawlingswood.

_A group consisting of Lyte, Theaon, Wolf, Calendel, Horg, William, and Genzir came into Jiyyd from the east, followed by some survivors of Ormpur they had found. It seems some of the citizens hid in one of the caves on the hill near Ormpur.
More women and children are safe in the Temple of Helm in Jiyyd, including the mayor of the ruined village._
-
A cloaked and hooded man listens to the grave news about Ormpur, then heads east without a word. Those who travel in that direction later might find some horribly mutilated giant and wolf bodies.
-
Dwin makes some inquiries…
is it safe to say that the snow-giants are now in control of the area where the town once stodd? Or are they keeping behind that gate in the hills?
I fear it wont be long before they start playin with their snow-pups in the pass and start makin regular visits here to Jiyyd.
Maybe the legion should station some folks along the way…both to hinder any westward movement and to raise the alarm should a sizable force go fer a walk towards Jiyyd///
-
_When asked about survivors, Will shakes his head. "None."
"We did what we could to make sure the bodies were properly seen to. Lady Kara presided over the service and pyre.
General Thorn has already informed the refugees at the Helmite temple."_
-
Shortly after the wounded group returned from the coldstone mountains, a woman in blooded gold and black armour is seen heading into the helmite temple to offer condolances to the refugees within. It is said that the entire village was burned and noone was found alive. The three bodies are said to have recieved last rites.
-
A grave-eyed Ragnhild enquires of the returning adventurers if there were any survivors of this latest attack on Ormpur. She also visits the temple and any other place that might shelter refugees from the remote villlage, searching for any clues to the fate of the family of Asha, the little Ormpurian girl in her care.

((A tad late, but no one else did it, so I am. Thanks to Nilla for this nerve racking event, it had my heart pumping )).
_A group of powerful adventurers came to the town of Jiyyd from the east. They all looked worn and beat up, as if they had fought an army of giants… which they did. Talks about the town say that Ormpur is in complete rubble, and that some of the townsfolk there that wished to stay.. were slaughtered.
It seems the group came to Ormpur in this horrid state and found that the frost giants had done this. They traveled up the mountain, for whatever reason, to fight the frost giants at their home. They were forced to retreat from the heavy resistance they faced and the sheer biting cold that was on the mountain....
The group consisted all manner of people such as mages, druids, Legion, Sails, and bards. None fell to the mountain, which is quite lucky considering what they faced.
A cold wind now blows from the east._
