Anyndir
-
Living on the streets of Mulmaster, Anyndir grew to hate the world for what it had done to him. He robbed people like all the other street dwellers did, living day by day to survive. He never knew who his parents were having grown up with a family that cast him out when he was 12 summers. Several years of living like this had made him angry with all people who crossed his path. One day he tried to rob a man that seemed easy prey but turned out to be harder than expected, the man froze him in place with magic and just sat there and stared at him smirking the whole time. Anyndir waited for the man to either kill him or send for the guard to arrest him but neither came.
After about an hour of him watching him the man posed him one question "do you want power boy. Not sure what to make of this man he answered him truthfully "yes". The man released him from the spell and told him to follow. He took him to a small home in the slummier areas of Mulmaster and sat him down. They talked for awhile and the man asked the questions and he answered them.
After a few hours of this the man told him he had a gift that should not be wasted, and so he began from that day to learn the ways of the arcane, not by reading books but from an innate ability that the man had somehow known he possessed. He made quick progress and began to get more powerful. He seemed to have a knack for working with the dead and so began his new life as a sorceror on the path to necromancy.
He dedicates himself to studying the dead, he believes the undead to be great creations that are to be respected and held with admiration. He would never willingly harm those around him or bring harm to his home, he just wishes to be left to do his studies in peace. He has a distaste for the followers of Kelemvor, not because they wish to see undead destroyed but because they judge to quickly thinking that all who play with the dead are doing so to destroy things and harm others which in his mind is not the case.He only wishes a greater understanding of the ways of the undead and will not go out to harm someone just to create them.
This preludice is what brought him to Narfell, for his mentor is gone and others knew of his activities and would have killed him if he had stayed, this remote area would be a perfect opportunity for him to continue his research and now being a student of the keep with access to the libraries and the knowledge of several other wizards, he may accomplish what he has set out to do.
