Job opening within Jiyyd last edit 5/8/05

((The following are open jobs for any who wish to fill a position. I am looking for people to fill positions where they are willing to RP them and preferably would spend the time RPing them when others are around to add some fun PC interaction and RP that does not require DM's to be around. Here is how the system will work and requirements to gain the coin the job would pay:
Apply for the position. Either here on this forum or Via PM.
Meet the minimum requirements listed.
Inform me via PM what you have done IG once you meet the minimum requirements. Send all PM's on between Friday and Sunday morning.
Payday will be every Sunday
Payment is based on 3 months IG or 1 week RL.
Those who hold a Job and do not PM me two weeks in a row will be "fired".
If you forget one week their is no payment. (took a vacation is the way I will look at it).
Folks fired will not be able to get a job again in Jiyyd.
If you do not wish to do the job or do not think you can perform the job requirements. Let me know and you can resign and apply for another job at a later time.
RP hours listed are minimums. Feel free to RP it as often as you like.The Jobs are so you the player base can have a way to make a little income without fear of death. A chance to add to the RPing within Jiyyd and bring life into the town. A perk to this is if myself or my Jiyyd ADM's see this. XP will be handed out as well. Who knows. Any DM seeing you RPing your job may get you XP as well.
I am putting this Idea in because of alot of you in the community wishing for job openings to be IG. Well here they are. I hope all who live within Jiyyd take advantage of this great RPing opprotunity. Jiyyd is your town. The amount of life breathed into it takes the Players. All I can do is provide the setting. What level you are has no bearing on who can hold what job. some are geared for Low levels but no job is exclusive to level only. some will be C Token requirement or a citizen of Jiyyd. Those will be listed under special requirements.

Employer: commoner Biswan
Farm help needed: Needed to till the land. Keep the rats, rabbits and any other critter from destroying the crops.
Payment: 5 gold a week (60 gold on payday)
RP requirements: tilling the land. shooing off vermin. killing insects and whatever else you can come up with to add fun when others are around. ( 1 hour total RL per week )
Special requirements: None
Person hired: Gullmar Staalnacke–------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Employer: Council
Watchmen needed: 2 positions needed for town watchmen to add to our current staff. Recent population surge and renewed Orc wars requires more staffing.
Payment: 15 gold a week ( 180 gold on payday)
RP requirements: Must patrol the town. Help citizens and travellers as needed. Keep the peace. ( 3 hours total RL per week minimum)
Special requirements: Must be a C-Token holder. Must be a citizen of Jiyyd. One position is for US timezone. 2nd is for Euro time zone. This is not a militia position. All normal PK and subdual rules apply. This is more a RP position only. Further rules will be discussed with those hired.
Person hired: Ragnar Glorin (US time)
Haus (Euro/US time) (Pending interview, Must contact Lens Ulden by May 14th).

groundskeeper: Looking for expert in keeping the grounds around the council building clean. Keeping the grass short. Tending to the flowers in warmer months. Washing the exterior of the building. Fence work etc..
Payment: 7 gold a week ( 84 gold on payday)
RP requirements: RP anything you can think of that any groundskeeper would do for outdoor work. ( 1 1/2 hours total RL per week )

Employer: Regal Whore Inn
Bouncer: Night job: Need a strong fellow to keep the Ruffians out and help the drunks either to their room or if they don't have one. Show them the door.
Payment: 8 gold per week. Bonuses: Free room and board and medical expenses paid for on the job injuries ( 96 gold on payday)
RP requirements: Anything you can think of regarding a bouncers day to day job. ( total 1 1/2 hours RL per week )
Special requirements: Person with this job will be allowed to rest at the inn with an OOC rest by a room. and will be given one crate filled with food each RL week (the crate will be filled each week you will not get a new crate of food each week).

Merchant Caravan Guards: To escort the quarterly merchant and supply wagons from the various locations throughout Narfell. Once a year trips to the Ice lands across the Ice lake by boat from Peltarch docks.
Payment: 5% of the goods purchased. (between 200 and 1000 gold on payday) (Employed party or parties will need to set up a weekly Event with either myself or one of the other ADM's of Jiyyd)
RP requirements: Weekly event( more the better. total RL per week )
Special requirements: Must be able to make a weekly event that will be set up once a group or several persons are hired.
Person hired: Kara Du'Monte Guardians of Brigandia guild–--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Employer: Council. (must be voted in by the council).
Jiyyd Defense Council: Overseerer of the defenses within Jiyyd. Will be responsible for the protection of the town in times of war. Will make recommendations regarding ways to improve and protect the town in times of war. Must have a strong sense of keeping the traditional ways of this small town. Must be able to work well with the council.
Payment: Peacetime 20 gold a week. Wartime 40 gold a week.(240 peacetime. 480 wartime. gold on payday)
RP requirements: Must be willing to be active on the forums to discuss issues with the council. Thier will be a new thread just for the council members and all council members will converse their regarding all council issues but this will be a primary place for the Jiyyd Defense council to keep the town updated. (6 total RL per week between forums and IG)
Special requirements: Must really want to play a part in what little politics thier are within Jiyyd. Enjoy RPing on the forums to keep things flowing. Willing to be in the town of Jiyyd more then anywhere else during times of war.

Amana Cold (Pending 2nd interview by Lens Ulden. Must meet by May 14th).–----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Employer: Wayfarer's Garb - Clothes Store, Anadra Dy'nesencia
Tailoring and colormaking: Peson will be responsible for assisting Anadra with tailoring and the coloring of clothing.
**Payment:**15 gold per week plus 10 gold for every item colored to the customers satisfaction(180 gold gold on payday)
RP requirements: When working you will be stationed within the Wayfarer's Garb store as an employee hired by Anadra. You can advertise on the forums and update one thread of yours each week for the times and hours you will be available. (3 hours minimum total RL per week )
Special requirements: Dyes will be given on a weekly bases only. Date and time can be arranged based on who takes the job. You can ONLY re dye someones clothing within the store. Get caught outside the store and you will be Fired and all dyes removed. This is to ensure you RP as an employee for the store. Person will sell the service for a price based on alot of various factors which I will go over with the person doing who takes the job. 10 gold will go to the person doing the dye work per job. MUST have a C Token.

RP requirements: Making all the official posts of the council (forums). coming up with ideas to get others involved in RP sessions IG. Make up IG things to as a person of education for others. Basically to be creative RP wise.
Special requirements: No real special requirements. If you set up events let myself know and I can try to be thier or have another DM assist. All events should be Player driven though if you need a DM for a specific event. Coordinate with myself or another DM before setting a time to be sure a DM can be present.

Employer: Self employed
Tradesmen: Will be responsible with providing all the needs of the town of Jiyyd's commerce. Speaking with each of the commercial owners within the town to provide goods needed.
Payment: 5 gold per week plus 1% of the price of the goods needed. (60 + 1% of the goods transported gold on payday)
RP requirements: Will require a Forum account of the trades and goods the town needs. Hiring others to go on the treks to Omphur, Peltarch and occasionally on boat trips out of Peltarch to the Ice lands for additional rare items the town may need. (RP 1 hour minimum but the more you do the more coin you will make).
Special requirements: This will require a bit of work for the person running this to set up a list of items the town would need and purchase each week RL or every 3 months. The more effort the person puts in the more coin they can make since the amount of payment is based on items purchased. Once the list is created on the forum thread stickied just for trade. I will make a weekly post of all the goods listed that will be required. The bigger the list and more organized it is. The more coin you can make.Person hired: Nars Tradesman

Remember the following as it is the person who is holding the jobs responibility to take initititve. I will not chase you around for this info. Thier are to many of you and I have much I have to take care of. If you want to get paid or have a little event now and then. You need to take care of your end of the bargain here. That said. Have fun with it and remember these jobs are not going to make you rich Gold wise but can put a little extra in your pocket. The key for the jobs is to give you more RP options. A chance to make some player based RPing events etc… I would hope those that showed interest did so because you see the potential fun it will create. So, liven up and have fun all

Ganon check here, I will be contacting folks about the jobs on Sunday. Sunday's is when I will be taking care of Jobs, new jobs, firing, hirings. Payment etc..

(Loke the payment scale is based on two things. Time frame IG is one week of real life is about 3 months In Game time. So 5 gold a week X 12 weeks works out to 60 gold payed out each Sunday to show as if you worked for 3 months IG. Does not sound like much but the job is not a tough job.
and it is decent gold to get once a week as a low level character until you move up in level.Garric. Send me a PM for the Jiyyd Watchmen job. I will add you to the list. )

(Every Friday I will post those that have applied for the jobs and if more then one request. I will set up a "job Interview" event. If you are the only person that applies for a job. I will set up a quick 10 or 15 min RP session to see if the person doing the hiring is willing to hire your PC. If you do not get the job it will be because of IC reasons unless it is a job that requires a C token and you do not have one etc…
I have gotton ALOT of responses and other job titles folks are looking to make up. If you come up with a Job your pc wishes to do. Please be sure to tell me what exactly you will be doing IC to make it a job worth making.
Most of these jobs will require each person to do their part and RP it out. DM's may be around at times and we can run little events regarding your jobs from time to time. The rest of the time it will be your imagination and incite to create a fun experience. Try to pick times to perform your jobs when others are around so everyone can get some RP fun in. Oh and I can promise you once I get everything off the ground here for Jiyyd. You can expect me to be watching quite often. If you slack off and do not perform your requirements IC and IG don't take it personal when the employer fires you ).

Dear Governor/Council of Jiyyd, I Gullmar Staalnacke would like to apply for the job to the farmers, helping with keeping their crops and what else I can help out with. I do have a insect eater at hand. Since I am schoolar in knowledge and mystics, I have a pet in form of a bat in my command. It eats insects and some bigger, to keep the leafs and other things helping a farmer out.

I dont want to be rude, but the first job with 5gp/week, is there food/day involved to it also? It has to be, since a foodration is at the price of 3g.p. if I am right.

Thank you for the effort to implement this! Excellent. Then one can earn some cash enough for what a travel may cost, if you dont have the money, and then retier from the workpossition for example. Unless there is a contract saying different.
