Sierra Ju'ent: Friends in Low Places
-
Name: Sierra Ju’ent
Age: 22
Race: Human, Elf, or something in between
Deity: Finder Wyvernspur
Nationality: Amn
Class: Ranger
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Occupation: None to speak of
Learning more about this character: PricelessPhysical Profile-
Eyes: Midnight blue, slightly tilted and framed with thick lashes
Hair: Chestnut brown, slightly wavy and given to curl on the ends
Face: Tanned complexion, fairly attractive features, but certainly not anything more than moderately pretty. A thin scar marks the brow above her left eye, but her most notable feature is her almost overly full mouth, usually turned up in the corners with a grin.
Height and physique: Taller than average with an athletic build, and toned arms. Her fingernails are chipped, and the pads of her palms are somewhat calloused.
Other interesting tid bits: Her clothing is adored with a pair of studded belts, crossed at the front and anchored with an unusual and large buckle (that DOES NOT have her name on it) bearing the design of a compass rose, with an arrow in the place of the compass needle. Her second favorite accessory seems to be an odd looking hat, curled up on the sides and turned down in the front and back, and appears a bit worn and beaten. She also wears a cameo around her neck, anchored by a velvet ribbon, and is never seen without it. Her voice carries a slight drawl, giving her somewhat of an initial impression of being relaxed, lazy, and a devil may care attitude.
History-
Born in Amn, Sierra once led a rather normal life. Her father was a guard, her mother was an apothecary and healer. Wanting the best for their child, they saved their gold for when the time would come that their child could be educated, with the hopes that eventually Sierra would choose a mild, but yet fruitful and prosperous occupation. And for a little while, little Sierra seemed to progress steadily on that path, despite her difficulty with being “different“ from the other children, with the burden of her blood.
But then GREAT DISASTER STRUCK!!!!
Well, not disaster, but rather… hormones. Little Sierra grew up and became a young lady, soon to become crazy with her interest in the opposite sex. Even then, her parents took their daughter’s budding interest in romance with stride, doing their best to keep Sierra on the path they had set for her.
But then… GREAT DISASTER STRUCK!!!
Had you there for a moment, didn’t I?
Again, it wasn’t exactly disaster, but instead the inevitable bad boy that crosses every young boy crazy girl’s path once in her life. Oh, and what a bad bad boy he was. Tall, dark, handsome…and full of spice and mischief. Instantly, Sierra was drawn. Unfortunately, he didn’t seem to have much interest in her, not that it kept her from trying her best to catch his eye.
After a while, the man of her dreams announced that he planned on leaving town, moving on to more exciting horizons. Poor Sierra was heartsick. The object of her desire was to leave her forever…
And then…. Okay…no, still no great disaster, sorry.
But Sierra did make the terrible mistake of leaving home to follow the man who had stolen her heart. She convinced him that she could be his assistant, and help him find those exciting new horizons, and treasures that came with them that he so desired. Because, of course, if she helped him find what he wanted, he’d fall in love with her, right?
So off she went, following after her man, sleeping in hell holes and soon discovering that the man of her dreams was not at all what he seemed to be. Rather, he was her living, breathing, walking nightmare. And she didn’t know the half of it. Whenever they’d blow into a new town, he’d soon find the most buxom and loose of the women, quickly taking her to his bed. And when he wasn’t rolling in the hay with some harlot, he was drunk off his arse, starting fights, and losing both of their traveling money in games of chance, always leaving Sierra to clean up the mess whenever things turned sour.
Adventurer? Treasure hunter? Ha.
The only thing he hunted was skirts and drink.
On the verge of giving up and returning home, the man she had spent so long chasing finally announced that he had gotten some information on a great and vast treasure, in of course, a fairly easy to find, but yet oh so secret location, and once they found it, he’d buy her a large engagement ring.
If Sierra had known what was good for her, she’d have told him where he could have put that great and vast treasure, as well as that large engagement ring, and start her way back home. But as they say… hope springs eternal.
And sure enough… they found the treasure.
Finding it was easy enough, and because her companion…the man of her dreams … was so honorable, he decided to let her claim the first bit of the prize. What he neglected to mention that his information had also spoken of a tiny little curse…
Yup. Great disaster. BIG disaster.
And who was struck with it? You guessed it.
Sierra.
Finally coming to some time later, Sierra found that the treasure was gone, as was the man she had though loved her.
And in his place, was a very cranky Demi-god….
