Clayton Delnoire
Short Backstory:
He grew up living with his parents till the age of 20 or so, at which point they both died of natural causes. His mother past first, he mourned her for a time, but managed to get over it easily enough. He doesn't mourn the passing of his parents anymore because he believes they must have done something wrong to deserve there natural death so long ago. After his father passed, he turned to Hoar's teachings. This is when he met his Hoarran trainer for combat and beliefs, Jainse Delnoire. Jainse was an old man, but taught Clayton how to properly wield a sword and brandish a shield before his passing. Clayton respected his trainer more then he respected his deceased parents, so he decided to adopt his trainer's last name, Delnoire.
Present: Clayton is a middle-aged Hoarran warrior. He is fairly new to combat, only just acquiring his first fully-payed longsword. Clay was born in Peltarch. Second son to a now deceased couple of commoners, roughly trained by his mentor Jainse Delnoire, he spends his nights at the Mermaid Inn. He thinks himself a crusader for Hoar, he believes he is a messanger of what should be right: Keeping the scales even. He prays to Hoar every night.
@13e2703c13:
Hoar (hore) is the vengeful deity of retribution invoked by those who seek to repay an eye for an eye.
Appearance: His skin is very pale, his hair blond. Well muscled. Not ugly, but definatly not handsome either.
Goals: Like any Hoarran, his goals are to uphold his beliefs and to spread his vision of justice, no matter how. "An eye for an eye."
Quirks:
-Although polite, he could just as easily pass off as rude. His actions consist mostly of nodding and speaking only when spoken too.
-Tends to be hot-headed and stubborn when in a serious or life-threatening situation.
-Intolerance: Slow witted people.
-Has a bad habbit of speaking too low for most people to understand. (Whisper, in the Neverwinter communication command.)
Hoarran Dogma: Uphold true and fitting justice and maintain the spirit of the law, not the letter of the law. Fitting recompense will always accrue for one's actions. Violence will meet violence and evil pay back evil, but good will also come to those who do good. Walk the line of the Doombringer's teachings, seeking retribution, but do not fall into the trap of pursuing evil acts for evil's sake, for that way is seductive and leads only to one's downfall. Vengeance must be sought for all injustices, and all punishments must fit the crime. Revenge is sweetest when it is sharpened with irony. All attacks must be avenged. Those who do not respond to attacks against their person or that which they hold dear only invite future attacks.
