Philomena is both short and slight even for a hin. Even the diminutive shortbow at her back, and the short sword and dagger on her hips, look large and heavy on the body of the small halfling. Her brown eyes can be serious or playful, as her mood changes, and her plainly styled shoulder length brown hair is either tied up, when she is on the road, or in pursuit of some quest, or let loosely down, when she is at her ease amongst friends.
She can be easily identified by the green and gold heirloom leather armor that she wears, which, although reputed to have no special powers, serves her well for camouflage in the wilds. She also proudly wears an earthen-coloured cloak, the shoulders of which are adorned with leaves. If you look more closely, you might see that she also wears golden archer's bracers, and a tiny silver-blue ring. When traveling she also carries a light pack, which she is often seen to rummage about in, double checking and carefully arranging and storing its (relatively meager) contents. The arrows in her quiver are always kept in meticulous order - although she is no craftsman, she can often be seen examining her arrows for evenness of flight, sharpness of point, and straightness of shaft.
With regard to her age, if you look very closely you will notice that, although she is a trim and sprightly figure who moves with quite amazing speed and grace, she has just one or two grey hairs which can be seen at her temples. Regardless of that, she is still an attractive hin, with a sparkle in her eyes that can be at turns defiant, playful or drily sarcastic.
