Character name: Eille Krowes / Player login name: Raastin
Eille was born 16 and a half years ago in Norwick, as the only child and daughter of Thon and Maura Krowes. Already when she was very young, she had to work hard to help her family. There was the constant threat of monsters, so early on Eille's father Thon teached her to defend herself. Her intelligence was about average, but she showed a great knack for understanding tactical situations, as she was always helping the guards and listening to their conversations.
Eille was always a little reckless, and sneak out from home many times. She had practiced archery with her father, and liked to go hunt rabbits and other small pray alone. This was getting on the nerves of her parents, as they were never sure were she was, and wheter she would ever come back home. On top of this, she was often found fighting with the boys of the town, more often winning than getting beaten, but nevertheless, it was too much for Thon and Maura. So they sent her to the academy in Peltarch, where she was to be trained a paladin. The discipline should calm her down and the battle training should help her direct her impulsivess.
Eille was very much into fighting, and soon proved to be an excellent fighter, good both with the sword and the bow. But on theology lessons she dozed off, and she regularly broke the rules of the order. There were some students from better-off families, and Eille never got along with them, because she couldn't stand their arrogance at all. If anyone ever tried to bully someone, Eille was there to kick some butt, and that lead to discussions with the priests and teachers. Soon she found that there was no way she could ever abide by their rules, and decided to become a paladin of her own kind. She began to break to rules of the academy and those of the order on purpose, and started heated conversations with other students and the teachers. Having been warned several times already, the order decided to kick her out.
When she found herself alone outside of Peltarch, she started crying and left south toward home. She made camp for the night, and crying alone in the moonlight she was reminded of the only goddess she ever really liked to hear about - Selune. She began praying, and in her heart she knew that this was all right. It didn't matter that she'd been kicked out, it didn't matter that she didn't fit in. It was all good. Maybe she was lost now, but that would not last forever. The Lady in Silver whispered to her all night, and by morning she felt better. So she continued home, lied to her parents about her paladinhood ("Yes, I am a paladin of Selune… You've never heard of such? Well, now you have...") and decided to help the frontiers in any way she could.
She met all kinds of new people that had arrived during her years in Peltarch, and went adventuring with them. She enjoyed the Gypsy Camp particularly, because of the free spirit of the people there. Not much later she met a young halfelven man named Vine and became interested in him. They travelled a few days together, and for the first time in her life, Eille felt Right. But then, during a trek through the orcplains, tracking some murderous barbarians, she was surprised and a barbarian cut her in half with an axeswing from behind.
But this was not the end. Vine had felt something too, and she prayed for her soul. Eille was on a desert, somewhere not on this world and prayed too. Her end could not be like that. She had only just began her real life, this could not be the end. And something heard the prayers. The next thing Eille knew, was rain on her face and a little sunshine coming through the clouds. She stood up, and stumbled forward. She was alive, shocked, weak but alive. Her reddish heir had turned pure silverwhite.
Note: Eille Krowes is a remake of Eille Krows, who's story this was until the barbarian cut her in half. After being suggested of remaking her, I cooked up this little story, which in my opinion fits her character very well. I hope I have not offended anyone by doing this.
