Mercenary Encampments

_Mercenary groups continue to pour into the city. What was first a couple of small groups has soon turned into over a half dozen well sized groups. Many of the groups speak foreign dialects.
As each group settles into either the inn or their camps around the city they begin to jostle one another. Each beginning to wonder why notice of work was put up. Not a few groups leave as they get word that it is most likely they drow they will be facing.
Those groups that begin to cause too much of a disturbance are visited by a lone guard wearing the cities livery. The guard merely hands over a letter and waits as the mercenary commander reads it. Most have frowned as they read but not a single one has not promptly told the guard that they will calm their men down._

As the weeks pass the mercenaries grow more and more comfortable, several groups starting to create temporary housing instead of crowding into the inn. The general murmuring about the reason for coming settling as they settle into a routine.
