Meeting on the Bluff

  • General Theaon asks leaders from Hinhold and the Council of Moradin to meet on the Bluff. There, he has a table set up with a map of the local region.

"Thank you all for coming. As you've heard by now, the most recent caravan assault on the Nars Pass just north of the bridge was done by remnants of the former Renegade Defenders. They seem to be the ones organizing these bandits that have appeared in the Nars Pass over the last few years. It appears their attack came from the abandoned Gypsy Camp from the west, however two of these former Defenders - a soldier and a mage, attacked us just outside the Bailey south of the Bridge."

"This caravan attack was done with the precision and effectiveness of highly trained military personnel. The return of this group thought long-dissolved is very alarming. I've requested a meeting with High Hold leadership, but in the meantime I feel it is imperative we increase patrols nearby for any signs of these Renegade Defenders."

He then points at various locations on the map.

"I would suggest the Council of Moradin increase patrols in the wooded area west of the Crossroads and south of the Gypsy camp. Hinhold's forces increase patrols north and east of Hinhold. The Legion will increase patrols along the Nars Bridge and further west into the valley and old Gypsy Camp. Any signs of these Renegade Defenders, or anything unusual, should be reported back here to the Bluff."

  • General Theaon again meets with Legionnaires and allies on the Bluff.

"I have recently learned of increased activity in the woods west of the Crossroads, specifically in the spider cave in those woods. There has been increased traffic going in and coming out as of late. At this point it is not conclusive if it is related to Renegade Defender activity, but it is worth a look."

"There is also a cave under the waterfall in the southeastern part of the old Gypsy Camp. Though I cannot say I noticed anything in particular, the cave itself seemed too..... clean. And it was also as if some debris and rocks were in almost too perfect of locations. A trip there with a few keen set of eyes may be in order."
