One ear warnings...

  • Adventuring types that are clearing threats from the area start to notice an odd sight on occasion. A single gnoll, hobgoblin, goblin, bandit, giant, orc, worg, and other evil interloper creatures left undisturbed and uneaten by other local denizens. Almost as if the creature is cursed and is some kind of warning.

They have been killed by hand-made arrows with fletchings of local hawks, eagles or griffin feathers, or by a slim blade to the back or neck. Sometimes their hamstrings have been cut. Invariably, one of their ears has been sliced off cleanly after death and the blade used to do it wiped off on the creature killed.

There are never any tracks to be found.
