A gruesome sight is reported at the ridge of the Nars Pass. A caravan was attacked in the night by some manner of small humanoid creatures, screeching in a monsterous tongue. While rumours fail to establish the attackers nature (past a number of more or less believable speculations), anyone who's witnessed their handiwork won't soon forget the sight. The target of the attack, it seems with brutal clarity, was not the goods, but the people transporting it. The bodies of the unfortunate caravaneers had all been chewed and in various degrees devoured by their attackers, whereas gold and other valuables remained scattered at the scene.
