_Anyone inquiring about the rules to the boxing match would find out that the rules are as follows…
There will be no weapons, armor, gloves, gauntlets, or shields of any kind. Nothing but your bare fists and the clothing on your back. Matches will last until one person is knocked out or admits defeat. ((no armor, no weapons))
There will be no magic of any kind during the matches... Faithful may not call upon their deities to enhance their abilities before, or during the match. Likewise spellcasters may not tap the weave to enhance themselves. This rule will also include magical items, scrolls, or potions of any sort. ((no magic... at all))
These will be honorable duels... Therefore there will be no hitting your opponent on the ground, no hitting below the belt, no biting, scratching, hair pulling... That sort of thing. Your opponent is just that, an oppnent, not an enemy, fighters are asked to remain calm during the bouts... ((No knockdown, improved knockdown, dirty fighting, smite evil, divine might/shield, and barbarian rage))
Monks may use the fighting styles they have trained in, but may not use any advanced teqniques.... ((flurry of blows okay, stunning fist, wholeness of body not okay))_

Colorful signs, written in a careful script, with a hand-drawn picture of a big-top tent, are found hung throughout town. The text reads:
Come one, come all to the Gypsy Carnival! This multi-day festival of fun will be filled to the brim with laughter, games, and contests to tickle your fancy, and even an auction!
At the start of the carnival, Miss Penny Lane, Apprentice of the Bardic College and better known to carnival folk as "Penny the Red", will be hosting a contest of musical composition and innovation! Bring along your best original song, and perform for Penny and her panel of judges. If your music and lyrics, and your style and flare make a splash with her panel, you could walk away with the grand prize, a nice-sized sack of gold and a precious set of magical bells that will be sure to improve your performances in the future!
All are welcome to enter for a mere 50 coins! The more contestants, the greater the size of the prize! If you've ever wanted to be a famous performer, this might just be the perfect place to start!
((OOC: the carnival events will run at varying times from March 12 through March 14. Penny's singing competition will take place at the Romani Camp on Saturday, March 12, at 5pm EST (10pm GMT). Stay tuned for dates and times of the other events!))
