FIRE IN THE COMMONS
-
After a fireball exploded in the commons, destroying the sundial, a singed, soot-covered and upset Lady Kathea goes to the guards. Apparently having been caught in the blast, the noblewoman insists on having the Ceruleans arrest the mage and merchant Vivrie Merotrose for magical assault and destruction of city property.
-
Since the alleged incident, the accused "battle-wizard" and merchant has been regularly seen around Peltarch.
((I'm totally willing to play along and get Kat some closure. No PC guard need fear confronting Vivrie.))
-
// And to Clarify. Kat was told that the assault charges were a 'personal matter', and was not the concern of the Ceruleans, and that if she sought any justice for herself she would have to charge Vivrie herself (presumably either settle outside of court, or in court)
-
Kat goes to see about resolving the issue of her own assault in this matter. Talking to whatever guards, ceruleans, or court officials necessary to see this through on the matters of:
-
Charging Vivrie for the crime done against her, and not just the city.
-
See into why the officials handling the case only saw to charge the criminal to only the lesser of the committed crimes.
-
-
Many days later, the Cerulean named Laerune was seen escorting Vivrie into the gaol for a very brief visit. The mage seemed as cheerful as ever, both arriving and departing.
-
Laerune the first star Cerulean can be seen going about, collecting information and eye-witness testimony.
-
Upon hearing of this, Brumir yells out in the Commons
"See! Just cause thar be an explosion nay always means it be me fault!"
