Ute Snow

  • Ute Snow
    Novice of Selûne

Ute ( 'oo-tuh ) has a long, gaunt face and an innocent smile. She is lean, and her skin has a ghostly pallor. Her hands fly in a careless flurry as she talks, and simple things can lend her great joy. She is friendly and empathetic, but her speech is often confused, prone to interruptions, loops, and digressions.

Her appearance ranges untidy to utter disarray. Her clothes hang unevenly, forgotten, wrinkled, and not-infrequently stained. She keeps her blonde hair short and swept to one side, but it still manages to knot and split.

    Background
Ute was raised in Peltarch's Lighthouse orphanage. Volunteers may remember the pale girl with the sunny smile, but they might also remember the years she spent bedridden with a fever, a bloody cough, and a swarm of nightmares.

    Reputation
Apparently still a novice in Selûne's church despite her magical talents, Ute is an irregular fixture in Peltarch's adventuring circles. Some say that she's proven a knack for stumbling into trouble, a reputation Ute staunchly denies (even while simultaneously digging the hole deeper).

Many find her speech and topics for conversation worryingly mad and best ignored. She is known to regularly forget basic facts like the time of day or the destination of a journey already underway. That she manages to be a competent healer at all seems due to her goodly nature alone. A few people insist odd things about her - that she may somehow be "lost in time" for example - and these few will point to evidence like her apparent (if inconsistent) knowledge of life before the N'Jast war.
