A Helping Hand

  • *Within the city of Peltarch, monks have started to appear on the streets and down at the docks.

They have been handing out food to the homeless and giving small acts of charity where possible. They speak of the Golden Light aiding those in the jewel.

The monks themselves seem very pleasant, talking to any who approach. They do not give answers to questions about their order but simply state that they are wanting to help where they can and they do so in the name of the Order of Golden Light*

  • *The Minks of the Order of Golden Light, whilst hard at work helping those within the city, seem to have bolstered their numbers within the city.

Whilst some have probably travelled from other parts to join their brothers, some familiar faces from the docks have been seen wearing the simple novice robes. Mostly the homeless, dock hands or others close to the bread line have been recruited to the order*

  • The Halfling Defence League

_The hin detective Roslyn Underhill approaches a member of the group and produces several objects appearing to bear markings similar to those observed on the other monks' attire and possessions. She informs them that they were found upon a body in the ogre caves - one which she presumes to have been a member of their order - and offers to show them the location of said body.

If asked why she didn't bring the body itself back, she simply explains that she's a hin and even if she was strong enough to lift a human body, the size difference would be very awkward.

She also makes certain to warn the monks against venturing out there without proper adventurer assistance, as the path is dangerous and overrun with manticores and ogres._

  • The druids Leena and Aoth were seen having tea with one of the monks at the Mermaid, and later joined by the monk Kessmiah. Devils and demons were among the topics overheard.

  • _Chea Allin approaches & introduces herself as a meditator & a scribe at the Selune's Shrine in the Temple Lighthouse.

She wishes monks all the best, and thanks them for their efforts.

She said she hopes that 'all the good they do will last', before leaving to attend her chores at the temple._
