Disappearings

  • _A rumour grows amongst the people of Norwick, but also travellers all through the region that people has been disappearing the last few tendays. The people who have been disappearing were normally individuals with no ties, that had lost their family to the bugs, or simply didn't have many connections, so most others assumed they had moved from the country to leave this godsforsaken town behind forever. However, the last case was a young Norwickian mother that did leave a 11 years old behind. No mother would leave the country without her child, even considering the circumstances. However, the little kid is appears to be in shock, and refuses to talk to anyone about it.

Perhaps an appropriate investigation would reveal more on this mystery…_

  • Shesarai has stepped up her scouting patrols around Norwick, looking for anything unusual. She reported just a few to the Norwick militia red cloaks.

"A number of fires continue to burn in the old Norwick ruins. They have been there for several days and no ghost pigs or echos have been seen there in a while."

"There also were no goblins found around the lake, though plenty of them could still be spotted in the borderlands, the Goblin Hold area, inside the coal mine, and south of the lake."

"In all other regions around Norwick, things appear normal."

She promised the militia that she would keep checking regularly, and look for any signs of those missing.

  • As days go by, more and more people have been disappearing. From little kids that strolled into the forest to play, to woodworkers, farmers… there's no telling what's going on, and Norwick has not been able to spend the resources to get proper investigations done. Because nothing is being done about it, Norwick's population keeps being bled little by little, and after the bugbear conquer and the more recent goblin bug siege, some rumours and discomfort are arising. "Where are our loved ones?" "Why does nobody help the helpless?" "Is Norwick finally done for as a free settlement?"
