Since I get to entertain my grandson two or three days per week and he loves music videos more than anything, I've got to sample a lot of Youtube offerings. Here is one I found this Christmas time. It's recorded by three sisters from Washington state in the USA (very near to where Gatlord lives). Their names are Greta, Willow, and Salona Gothard. When I see them perform like this, I think of female elvish bards.

This fall I have my two-year-old grandson all day on Wednesdays and Fridays. Whenever he sees me at the computer, he climbs up into my lap and asks for "Google", which is his way of saying "Go to Youtube and bring up the music videos!"
It's amazing how we seem to like most of the same music. Here is another one of our favorites. This is Rosanna, by Toto, which won Song of the Year in 1982 in the USA. This was one of the first music videos to break out of the Disco mold. It's strong syncopation and multiple changes of rhythm made dancing to it very difficult so people learned just to watch the video.
The girl playing Rosanna is Cynthia Rhodes, who later appeared in the movie Dirty Dancing. If you look closely, one of the male extras is a young, pre-fame Patrick Swayze.

And for something completely different:

My wife and I are classical music fans, though we also like 60s and 70s oldies. This week, we decided to try out another genre in depth. We took a week-long driving vacation to Nashville (two nights) and Branson (three nights) to sample country music living. We spent an evening in the Wild Horse Saloon in Nashville, and visited Dolly's Dixie Stampede Dinner Theater in Branson. (I couldn't resist a Carpenters' Tribute show too).
We're back now but I won't post any links. It's on to Brahms Requiem for me.

Often when I write Leena's journal, I listen to the Chrono Trigger playlist on Spotify.
It's got most of the songs re done by an orchestra our others, and is a gently uplifting, then exciting, then sad background. I love it.

I found a song that fits Atel perfectly. Not sure if this song was written for her or not, but here you go lol.

DJ Okawari has some of the best, most relaxing, and lovely music I've heard, with a lot of range:

This is my two-year-old grandson's favorite music video. It's ABBA's 1975 appearance on Dick Clark's American TV show. I think he loves Agnetha as much as I did back in the day. They just don't make them like this any more.
