Whatson's Fiddle.

  • Wolves slain.

    Dear Fiddlebag,

i can ax a wolf, it seems.

i went to hunt one to a few goblins, as a real man should in these lands.

i've found much greater danger of not numerous a wolves' pack, survived badly wounded.

    "i've killed two wolves,
    bad wolves of yore,
    hit'em wit' an ax'
    wolves are no more"

perhaps i'll be able to sing this song, if i recover from this wound (hope it's not diseased).

    – Yours, Whatson Fiddle, a misadventurous a wolves' slayer.

P.S. i've been able to hit alpha wolf with a particularly strong hit second time i had opportunity to get close to him at a proper angle. large wolf's skull properly split wit' an ax. first blow was rather strong, but far from enough to get rid of that quite a wolf.

P.S.S. i do not know how i got rid or defended against smaller wolf, it was very weak i think for it's size and type, or perhaps just unlucky. still a flanking nuisance, it had a chance to finish me after i got rid of alpha wolf pal of his.

P.S.S.S. overall wolves fought defensively after their initial charge, they attacked slowly, walked around to attack from two sides and barked menacingly waiting for a weak move to jump and attack with teeth and paws. i've outsmarted them, wit' footwork, shield, an' ax. had to consider them both as i fought.

*it wasn't easy fight. if not mage armour cast prior to combat, proper clicking (avoiding riposte attacks), and a good roll of a critical hit at alpha wolf, Whatson would be sightseeing mists of the Fugue Plane. Computer was slow too.

  • Wound not Diseased.

    Dear Fiddlebag,

wound is diseased not, i think.

i was wounded several times during my short human life so far.

no too great hallucinations, no burns or festers around the wounds.

if neccessary i'll go to a Temple of Chauntea that is not far from Norwick's Grapevine Inn, perhaps they will cast proper spell if i pay.

.. sometimes they do it for free even, i heard.

there's a risk of them casting the spell wrong way however, they say.

    – Yours, Whatson Fiddle, a bard wannabe.

  • Eric the Lumberjack.

    Dear Fiddlebag,

i've exchanged news with Eric the Lumberjack of the Norwick's Lumber Mill.

nothing unusual, but perhaps trade increased… gate was wide open as if they expected an expedition.

i do not know much about their business with the Norwick's Crafters Union, nor i do care about it.

-- Yours, Whatson Fiddle, Fighter with Arcane Talent, and Featherflight Tribe Barbarian pretender, a bard wannabe.

  • Throwing Axes or a Bow.

    Dear Fiddlebag,

should i get few or more of the throwing axes? they are heavy to carry but efficient and cheap, as i heard.

Barbarians of Old used both throwing axes, longbows and many other hunting weapons.

perhaps nothing at all, i am just a bard, not a Barbarian.

    … only if neccessary.

-- Yours, Whatson Fiddle, longing for music & wine.
