Ervawen of Mystra

Ervawen is a young elf, a mere 135 years of age. When she was only very young, 40 years, a true child in elven terms, she was left in the Peltarch commons. Why she was left there, and who left her there are mysteries to this day. Fortunatly for the elfling, a kind priest of Lady Magic stumbled upon her. This man was part elf himself, and went by the name of Arethell. At that time, Arethell had just finished his apprenticeship as a priest, and he was now somewhere in his late twenties. He took Ervawen home, and promised to look after her. He thought her of Mystra, of the Weave and how it flows trough everything, binding it into existence. Over the years, a deep friendship grew between
Arethell and his adopted child. Ervawen turned out to be witty, smart and a kind person, her elven nature giving her an innate ability with magic. Years went by, and Arethell aged. While Ervawen was still quite young for an elf, Arethell had seen his life come and go. He had married a kind woman, who cared for Ervawen as if she were a child of her own. The three lived happily, until the day Arethell grew sick. He no longer had the strength to overcome the illness, despite Ervawen's best efforts. On his
deathbed, he gave his apprentice his ornate longsword, and stated that her training was complete. She was now a full priestess of Mystra, and ready to go out into the world and find her own way in life.
Arethell died the following night. Ervawen, and Arethell's widow Thania, inherited the priest's old house, and they live here to this day. But Ervawen spends more and more time outside, and beyond the safety of
the city's walls. She is eager to explore unknown lands and to meet new people. And, if at all possible, she wishes to learn of her biological parents, and why they left her all that time ago.
