Rumors from Rats and Bats

Over meals of spicy bat wings and sauce covered rats, travelers on the Nars hear all sorts of rumors in the restaurant. Lately, there has been talk of several Dwarves from Aura Runedar planning to travel to Jiyyd and dig there way through the collapsed entrance of an old Dwarven temple there. No one is sure what exactly they are looking for in the temple, but with a digging operation going on in those tainted lands, they are sure to find trouble.

Leena, too, makes her way there, and starts inspecting not just for physical clues, but for magical traces. She is wary to stay out of the way of the bugbears, unless one of the Druid Bugbears that she has met is around, in which case she will ask what they saw.

_There is a great deal of excitement up and down the Nars after a comet was seen streaking across the sky, only to get brighter and brighter and eventually become a blinding flash as it crash landed in the Rawlinwoods, making a small crater filling the forest full of dust and smoke for hours.
Rumor has it that the bugbears we're first on the scene and have likely taken or destroyed anything of interest._
Hen takes an avid interest in the crash sight and begins to snoops around for where things have been taken.

The looming fortress over Sam's Hole, Ihar Burakrin, has seen an increase in patrolling Clangeddin Axes lately and most of the catapults and ballistas on the towers and parapets have been turned purposefully North to focus on the Nars Pass.

Nica stumbles into the R & B in the early morning with a warning about strange pale creatures attacking her at the last hours of the night, just east of the Dwarven Hold. Keg-happy dwarven defenders assisted with sealing up the hole from which they sprang, but she nontheless makes sure people take care to travel at night.
"They tend to attack in packs, howling and gibbering madly… there's no reasoning with these things, all they want is to tear you asunder and devour you... but they only come out at night."

_One of the regulars of the Rats & Bats, well renowned merchant Warren Gordon, has been curiously absent from the Rats & Bats for the last couple of months.
His trade routes are usually short and local, leading other regulars to believe one of the gnolls in the pass finally got the poor fellow._

Rumors around the Rats & Bats is that veins of silver, iron and turquoise have been found in the lower reaches of the Goblin Hold..

_Whether related to the first rumours or not is unclear, but a pale Nica stumbles into the Rats An' Bats, her face, hands and entire front splattered with blood. The young blonde, calm despite looking like a particularily sloppy butcher, brushes freshly fallen snow off her head and shoulders and goes looking for her great-auntie Horbag.
Whatever happened, it seems to have happened in the vicinity of Jiyyd…_
