It depends what you are after. You can buy an appartment from the many appartments in peltarch in the docks district, which are really cheap if you ask me, or if you want something more unique and stuff you'll need a lot of money. To give you an example, the tower in the rawlinswood's lake costed around fifty thousand gold coins.
All in all, you have to speak to a DM about the housing or Persistant Storages to see what's available…

Thanks so much. So how do you go about obtaining a house then?

The most common way is to rent one from the store-guy in Peltarch (If there's any free ones). If I'm not mistaken it costs 1000 coins per RL year, though I could be wrong.
You can also be part of a guild and most of them have available PS's for rent too, though the price I pressume to be the same.
The only other way would be to buy your own house/appartment and have a PS in there.So basicly you have to pay 1000 coins for it.
