Uniel Zephyr
-
Standing at just five foot five inches, Uniel would appear to be about average height for a female Moon Elf. Small of build, muscled in a wiry sort of way, she may be small but she is most definitely an accomplished warrior. She has finely toned muscles in a way that allows her to still have a somewhat feminine look and a slight bulk in muscle in key area befitting one who swings swords and takes beatings for a living. Red-auburn hair cropped short at the back and on one side and left long on the left, a lock of which sits just above her left eye and she oft fiddles with. Her eyes are a subtle violet in colour speckled with blue flecks and her skin is quite pale, betraying her heritage.
While she has a physical appearance of someone who might have once been moderately attractive in a tomboyish way, the years have not been kind to Uniel. A long life of fighting, for many years in gladiatorial arenas in Chessent and Akanax, have had their toll. Her hands are calloused from wielding weapons and from hard work. Her arms, hands, legs, body and to a much lesser extent her face, are borne with scars. Seen in the nude there would be a few marks upon her that would stick out.
The telltale scarring of a whip lashes on her back, a long scar running from the middle of her right bicep down to just above her wrist, a rather serious burn on her left outer thigh that looks to have taken some time to heal and a scar on the left of her midriff that runs from the bottom of her ribcage diagonally across to her right hip.
While many have still called her pretty, despite the evidence of time's entropy in a harsh world upon her physical form, there is no doubt some of her former beauty present. Her nose looks to have been broken several times and not likely set properly half the time and her left cheekbone shows signs of a break. Despite all this there is a certain charm and it is plain to see if one knows her that she does not care in the slightest about her unusual appearance or what others think of it. Despite the slight deformation of her cheek and nose and a few light and barely visible scars, her face still holds an attraction to it, albeit diminished from what it once must have been.
She has piercings in her face and ears. Simple small rings in the right nostril and through the septum, one each. One single earring on her left ear the tooth of an animal, small, and well worn. It is clearly professionally fashioned to in fact be an earring. On her right side she has piercings going halfway up her ear. All of them but one are marks, cartouches and sigils of families, houses and various merchants, most of them from the Chondathan basin (an area I figure would encompass Chondath, Chessenta, and some bits of surrounding regions) but a couple of them bear markings of Akanaxan origin and she has but one that would clearly belong to a Zakharan House. The one earring on her right ear which is not like the others is a small crescent moon engraved with symbology befitting a follower of Sehanine. (Assuming the person observing her does in fact know how to identify these markings, otherwise they would just look like strange markings from some far off land)
While she has the fitting look of a warrior, what with her collection of scars and the muscle tone and slight bulk from decades of training and practice in her profession, she is more than a common sword swinger. She has interests in tactics and planning, especially when concerning a battle, and through years of rigorous study and training she has become a decent blade dancer. It is not odd to see her reading a scroll or book, perhaps studying something or perhaps just reading for reading's sake.
Her demeanor around new people in general is quiet. However she might just be waiting and watching, absorbing the information around her until she feels she has something to add. Amongst friends and family, she can be quite chatty.
Her Elven is fluent, both in writing, reading and speech. Her first language, she speaks it with ease, although her Elven would have a distinctive southern Wood Elven accent to it. Likewise she speaks, reads and writes Sylvan with equal fluency and ease. Her use of common is slightly diminished however. While she can read, write and speak it fluently, she has an odd and somewhat distinctive speech pattern. She has no problem switching from Elven to Common, as she has been accustomed to it for many decades now, but a sudden switch to or from Sylvan might throw her off for a moment.
