The Long Wait



  • To be honest, this stone could be a hundred times more comfortable. Possibly a thousand times and it would only be marginally comfortable to be crammed up here. Ardent had snuck down here early in the morning, sliding around the trunks of trees and going flat in rough underbrush all in the goal of reaching the cave where the gnolls leaders dwelled. Gnolls moved back and forth readily from the cave and the scout hoped to spy some glimpse of the ambassador Ostromog would send and what would they be bearing.

    She was here to gather military intel and and had prepared her gear accordingly. Thin and enchanted Mask hide, so dark it seemed to blend into the changing shadows of the tree. Her Scout cloak, a remnant of her time spend defending Norwick, she felt nostalgic as she remembered ducking numerous times past the south gate to investigate the fields beyond. Rings adorned her finger, aiding to her ability to just remain uninteresting enough to go without note.

    As a final aid, in one hand she held a purple potion of camouflage, bought for mere coins from Shady. In the other a slightly shining potion of invisibility, for if things got very bad indeed. Now was the time to breath deep and just watch, clearing her mind of all other things to take in the detail of the world beyond.
