Jenna's Journey

  • Her brother had always said she had a unique talent unto herself that no one else had ever mastered to quite her level. Apparently she still had the touch; she made a mess of everything she'd touched since coming to Narfell.

It wasn't like it was all her fault!, she would be the first to point this out of course, it was just the sort of thing that came naturaly to her. Honestly some of the fault had to be laid at the feet of Corwin she felt, it wasn't her fault he made her tingle in the manner that she did around him. But he was callous to his affect on her, and acutally spoke in terms of how he'd someday end thier relationship as if somehow that was respectful!!

Jenna knew, oh boy did she know, that she was by no means worldly and wise to the ways of the world no matter how she might act. But she had given to him a part of her she'd buried since her brothers death, and he was oblivious to it; for him there love had started with some sort of mystical expiration date that was his mission to discover. At which point of course he'd inform her polietly before he moved on to the next conquest thank you very much.

She left him, then she left everyone. At first she thought she'd try to find her way back to Waterdeep, much further then she had realised and even more years into her past such that it was more just stories about her home then it ever really having been one for her. In Waterdeep she and her brother had been homeless beggars. He dragged her halfway across the continent when his powers started manifesting; some foolish claim that his (Thier's? Her's?) destiny was waiting for them in a land called Narfell. Then he died and she was homeless again in another town she didn't know.

In Silvery Moon she had met Renetta, not a very elven name; possibly it wasn't even her name, she was so shrouded in mystery Jenna was unsure if even Renetta knew her real name. Reneta plucked her from the street and fed her, clothed her, and if she didn't ever show Jenna any love she did teach her something about survival; mostly she taught Jenna how to use the bow.

The bow made her happy, the bow made her secure and strong. Sometimes she'd dream all night of just practicing the bow. Corwin may have given her the ~tingles~ but the bow gave her heart and confidence she had never had before; given a choice between the two ..well. Her and the bow were back in Silvery Moon, not her and Corwin.

Not as naive as the last time she had crossed the moon bridge, Jenna began her search for her mentor.
