_It takes a few days to truly notice. At first, it seems only that some of the wagons seem to be taking awhile in their travel, or someone maybe took a wrong turn. But finally it appears as if a merchant's cart or two has gone missing. Gnolls are blamed more often then not. Some blame the Hoarrans, but so far its hard to tell since no one has seen anything or anyone. No bodies. No abandoned wagons. No abductions. No blood. No attacks.
If not for counting what left Norwick/Peltarch versus what arrived in Peltarch/Norwick, you'd likely not even recognize there was a problem._

_There is no doubting it now, some merchants have certainly disappeared. Shipping records are showing anyone trying the pass under a merchants flag and carrying arms or armorments, aren't showing up. Hoarran patrols seem up in numbers, one might wonder if they too are trying to figure out what is going wrong.
In other oddities, Riselle, singer and storyteller probably best known for her song about Yngdir is no longer to be found at the Kelemvorite Shrine. After recent attacks, rumors place her as possibly abducted by illithids._
