A City in Chaos!

Rumors spread quickly about the chaos at the most recent jousting event sponsored by the House of Borodin. Many citizens speak of being at the event and assassins dressed in Peltarch Defender uniforms pelting the crowd with arrows, while some on the ground drew blades. They also speak of how women in robes who had earlier in the night been selling bottles of wine, turned on Senator Rath Ashald in an attempt to assassinate him.
When the chaos had settled, Senator Ashald was found in the middle of a crowd of defenders consisting of Rith, Rath Ashald Jorinsen, Mooncandy and Ama'bael… him screaming proudly how they could not take down Senator Rath Ashald in such an attack. Shortly after Senator Ashald collapsed to the ground, him looking at his son and mumbling "the bloody wine" before going silent and being rushed to the Temple by his son.

_Immediately after the attack the city gets locked down, Guards doubled at every gate. Any who enter or leave are drilled with questions, descriptions taken along with names or any other thing the Guard deems appropriate. Any who refuse to comply are taken immediately to the prison for interrogation.
Many rumors spread around the city, that Senator Ashald is dead, others say he took down two score of assassins and is currently at his home in the company of a dozen "admirers". Though facts are short when it comes to the Senators fate, the Guard and other City officials are tight lipped. Other rumors spread that Magistrate Borodin left the tournament early and that she hired Thayan assassins to kill the Senator, poisoned wine from the Vipers of the Jewel.
The only thing known for sure if many are worried for their well loved Senator and the city is in a high state of alert and a few have taken to the streets to try to cause riots, yet they seem to be put down quickly by the Guard and Defenders alike, who were asked to help compliment the Guard so the city stays peaceful._
