_"D'CAMERON! Have the guards put out fresh traps, I just found ANOTHER ONE in my office! Gods know what the lil bastards are doing to the crops."
"Yes, Chancellor."
"And BUY US A CAT."_
For some reason, you can't toss a brick in town these days without hitting a rat. Are they being driven into town by something in the old ruins? Is the grain just particularly tasty this year? Nobody seems to know.

@44e9767394=Kallethen:
A familiar black panther is occasionally seen on the edge of town hunting some of the rats.
Also, said panther is seen accompanied with two smaller panthers on a few of the hunts.

@45ba768b2e=Vanderkaus:
And Vanderkaus can be seem placing rat traps around the Crafter's Hall, while muttering a few words:
Woot da fark is dis farkin thin now, eh? Dis kin only be da job uv sum flute playa er sum such dat went wron'. Wus probly tryin ter atract un nice piece uv lass 'nd got sum rats instead.
The mutering and rat trap placing goes on and on for a long time, until the dwarf decides to have a nice ale.
Also, a poster is placed so that all can see:
If you need traps to kill the rats, speak to Vanderkaus in the Crafter's Hall or the nearest inn.
As you all know, if a dwarf made it, it is garantee that it will work.\ OOC: assuming that with his crafting skills in woodworking, blacksmithing, etc, etc, he can easily make sai traps.
\ trashed 30 coins for the poster.
Myrrha is seen talking to the rats in some odd, squeaky tongue, pointing at the traps.

Belma'r buys a bunch of cheese and piles it out by the lake in the woods. His "logic" being that if all the rats go out to the lake then they wont be in town. Absolutly convinced he has solved the problem he gose humming merrily on his way.. smelling of stinky cheese.

Aramuil, for his part sends flames and magical missiles at the beast when they dare to appear in his presence, he seems more bothered or disturbed by them than he should be. If asked, he simply shrugs off the concern of others, saying that he simply detests the intrusion.

Best to find their nests and start the extermination there. I'll send for my cousin Nor and some of his best … Methods for extermination.
Vermin breed among 'emselves worse than hin, and then they spread plague and worse. Need to take care o this as soon as possible.

A strange elven Druid finds the issue with the rats most enjoyable, running around happily playing with the rodents while spouting nonsense.
