Benny Lurough, your greatest nighmare

Benny was born to two loving parents on the southern border of Cormyr, near Suzail. His father was a traveling merchant that took a route between Suzail and Marsember. He was gone often during Benny's childhood which left Benny alone at the house with his mother. Benny's mother was one a well-known actress around the lands, but when she was impregnated, her career was short lived. Benny's mother resented him, blaming him for ruining her chances at stardom and fame, often times introducing him as her stable boy, rather than her son. His mother may have been wicked in some senses, however she made sure her son would not grow up uneducated. He was 'forced' to learn reading, writing, simple math skills and most importantly…the glorious skill of Acting. Benny's mother recieved word one dreary day that his father was robbed on his route, making his way back home. His father did not survive the encounter. After hearing this news, Benny's mother went hysterical. She started spreading rumors that Benny himself had planned the ambush. By this time, he was near 17 years old, and had had enough of his mother's wretched emotional abuse. He fled on the nearest boat leaving the land and worked his way across Faerun performing songs and small skits on boats, in pubs, and even a few times upon request he would perform in the house of a noble. His travels made him feel free. He was allowed to be who it was he wanted to be. His talents in the arts gave him an abundance of self confidence, and every time he would perform, it was as if he was born again free of his past. He would likely tell the random stranger that he simply left home in search of fame and fortune, but his reasons are for him to know, and for you to never want to ask.
