Lucas Geigers - Of sparks and song

Family History:
Geigers, a semi-decently known noble family from Waterdeep. A rather wealthy family who's members all are mystically attractive in their own unique, though all in a rather, dare we say, shocking manner. Ramon Geigers is rather well known to be an expert at electric magic, was a Geigers by birth, his wife Evalin taking his name when they were wed. Evalin herself was from a noble family, though all of her bloodline was full of successful bards of varying talents. When they were wed, the two lovers decided to combine their family crests. Ramon's was a silhouette of a dragon and a lightning bolt in front of it, while Evalin's was a similar silhouette but with a musical note in the front. Their particular variant of the Geigers' crest is a silhouette of two dragons, wings spread, and tails entwined, with a musical note made of lightning in front of the dragons, the colors: blue and silver.
A son:
Ramon and Evalin had a child a few years after their weddeing, a blue haired son they gave the name Lucas. Growing up, Lucas was privileged, given almost everything he could want as a child, but still held within high standards and behaviors, mostly by his mother. His father was his best friend; they would exercise, adventure around their estate, and cause mischief with electrical pranks wherever they could. The only problem is, is that Lucas could never make more than a few harmless little sparks. Lucas however, seemed to take more on his mother's side for the magical gifts, his parents and himself soon realizing that he had a rather unique bardic gift; he could conduct. Normally, conducting was not such an impressive feat for bards, it only required they keep beat and cue when instruments needed to start and finish. A conductors baton in Lucas' hand however, was an entirely different outcome.
Whenever Lucas conducted, his magic seemed to always affect his surroundings. Anything that was making a noise or able to would fall in line with his beat. This allowed Lucas to make a 'concert' wherever he went, for a mere flick of his baton and everything around him fell into harmony. In time he even found that with great effort on his part, he could even conduct instruments that were unattended and make them play in this manner. It had it's limits though, as he couldn't control what sounds any given thing could make, but rather synchronize existing sounds into a melody.
Lucas grew up rather happily with his parents as an only child, and on his thirteenth birthday he learned the great secret to both sides of his family's magical powers and great beauty. From each side of his family, he had a dragon as an ancestor. The blue dragon blood that coursed through his father's veins is what gave him the natural talent for lightning magic, while the song dragon blood that flowed through his mother's gave her the bardic talent. Lucas had a mixture of both; though it was clear his song dragon blood was the more dominant of the two. That's not to say his blue dragon blood was completely dormant though, as when he started to go through puberty, his hair started to become more wild and always seemed to be charged with static electricity. As puberty started to come near an end, the same occurred with his skin, though to a much lesser degree, his skin giving others a slight tingling sensation.
Despite his rather cushy lifestyle, Lucas began to grow bored of his routine life. His parents, knowing they too once had the desire to explore and adventure, let him go with their blessings. With his fine nobles clothes, his favorite conductors baton, a bag of gold, his family crest, and no real other useful skill besides his music and gentleman's politeness and friendliness, he set out to the vast unknown. A few months later, he found himself walking into a far off city. "Welcome to The Jewel."
