Vladimir Arrested

  • *_The Oscuran Vladimir Kursk, favoured son of Duke Andrey Kursk was last seen leaving Oscura via the Ravens Rift.

News gets back to the city via an unknown source that he was abducted and assaulted by Senator Ronan from Peltarch outside the cave entrance.

He was dragged to the Leigon tower yet they refused to take the young noble but they escorted the unconscious Vladimir with Ronan to Peltarch.

He is believed now to be waiting in a cell for the charge of "Entering Peltarch lands after the banishment" as he went to the shrine of Tempus.

The more cynical believe it to just be an attack on an Oscuran._*

  • With what appears to have required an extreme effort Eléndel manages to await until Sigismund finishes his sarcastic remark. As his words fade out the armored elf stands up from his wooden chair walks over to Sigismund with quick steps and drives a hard yet not with full strength kick on his ribs, causing him and the chair to land on the floor.

((unless you have an objection there or were to run, hide, dodge, teleport etc))

Yes let us all close our eyes, pretend nothing has happened. Why not wait until Peltarch takes you to prison next and while dragging you to the cage where you will spend the last remaining day of your life let them make up stories strong enough to go through in their so called court of law.

Let us give Peltarch the opportunity to continue to harass this city and let us not change our current method that has proven so efficient this far by saying "Everything is fine, do as you wish for we do not retaliate".

He stands breathing heavily over the noble for a moment before he leaves the building with heavy determined steps

  • The Halfling Defence League

    Sigismund quips

Of course, we can go onto the surface and strike back at them for what one man has done. That certainly won't provoke the ire of everyone else in the region, giving them an excuse to openly attack Oscura itself and thus violate our blood oath.

  • To those who might be interested, Zazamoukh II explains that Vladimir is still awaiting trial by the Peltarch magistrate.

In a non-chalant tone, he comments:

"Apparently, his crimes against the city are 'serious'. I doubt he'll be released alive."

  • Ahh the cowardly Ronan strikes from the shadows on the lone Oscurian once again. He's like a splinter, stuck under your skin. Not by any means impossible to treat, yet something that should be dealt with in time.

The elf switches his weight where he sits

Luckily that time is now. Due to the nature of this human child it is not only our right to respond in kind and by no means with any more dignity than he has shown, it is also our duty.

Their inquisition is fruitless. They can detain Vladimir forever if they wish, confine him or execute him if they must have a victim to propitiate the illusion they call justice. We can tell them everything they want to know with the perfect candor, without a word being distorted or concealed, and yet it would be of no good. Their minds are concealed by a dark cloud of persistence, a made up illusion of a law they twist and alter in any way they see fit and profitable, they hear what they want to hear.

Gentlemen, we have been idling for too long.
