Gossip at the Rats and Bats

Anyone entering the Rats and Bats can overhear the tale of how the Karhuntalja Smashers dealt with a band of bandits that had set up base out east by the old orc lands. Apparantly a badly hurt man had fled the bandits, and made his way to the RnB. Enraged, the Smashers set out to deal with the honourless bandits. The tale goes that the Smashers made very short work of the bandits, leaving a trail of bloodied bodies along their path. On their return, the Smashers celebrated their triumph with plenty of ale and songs. It seems the bandit chief was supposed to be "the greatest fighter in the lands", something the Smashers laughed about alot as they quaffled their ale. The bandit group was often refered to as "The Potion Pandit Iidjits", followed by more laughter and calls for more ale.

New tales of Smasher rampage spread from the caravans and others stopping at the Rats and Bats. Apparently a young boy playing hide and seek got kidnapped by the kobolds. The Smashers and a man named Andrew charged into the kobold caves and made short work of little barkers. The boy was saved from becoming kobold puppy food, and as per usual there was much rejoicing with plenty of ale and food at the RnB. The Smashers agree that Andrew, aka "Wussypants" aka "Sir Falls-A-Lot" did well for a non-Smasher.

Once again, tales of the Karhuntalja Smashers going on a rampage spreads from the Rats and Bats. This time round it seems a tribe of hobgoblins were getting ideas, and had been attacking people in the woods south of Norwick. Hearing this the Smasher of course had to go and test this tribe. The hobgoblins were out in numbers, but that only meant that the Smashers outnumbered them three to many! Judging by the amount of ale consumed after their return, things went very well. The general murmur of rumours mention "severed tribe leaders head make for a good trap handler" and "stu-pids magicks!" Anyone going to the now destroyed hobgoblin camp can find a chest with the carved inscription "The Smashers were here"
