The Penguin's Journal - Thoughts of Pingui Chiami

  • Writing in her journal, she gives herself an introduction

"Salutations mister Journal, my name is Pegri Chiami, but you can call me Pingui!. I will be writing in you so please take no offense to whatever is written!

Since leaving my home in Thesk, the road has been a rather lumpy one. Going from village to village on my way up, I have found many memories and people to treasure. Wood elves and other forest gnomes all made me feel welcome, and in return I would try to share some of my joy and experiences with them. Who says you need to put one foot in front of the other to travel! One crutch and one stub did nicely.

My weakness turned strength, little did I know I would become even stronger! Wildwanderer willing, lord Baervan had led me to a tinkerer's workshop nestled in a quiet part of the Great Dale.

Well… I met him. A faithful tinkerer of Gond, I was actually surprised that this gnome followed the human god. He had his own workshop and everything, but, he had some of the most amazing thingas! He liked to be known as Spoon the Wondergnome, quite the fitting name I would say. Not so much for pranking as he was for creativity in his own art, staying with him and helping him clean up his shop as well as taking some time to rest my sore remaining foot, he wouldn't let me know... but, thanks to him ,I have this wonderful prosthetic foot! Sure it rattles and clinks, but it allows me to walk and even run in short bursts with few problems! It took awhile to get used to, but eventually I didn't need the crutch anymore!

Well anything, bidding him goodbye, it didn't take me long to find another companion to come with me in my mission to head to the northern-most part of the rawlins, which was in the narfell region.

When I finally arrived, tired, I sat down by the south fire they had in a town named norwick, and was very fortunate enough to make a good friend just a few hours since arriving.

His name was Raryolder! He might seem a bit grumpy at times, but sometimes a little dirt on a gem, pure and beautiful really helps give it some character and is a good reminder that we all have things others would consider flaws and weaknesses, but in truth they make us stronger and give us character!

Anyway, mister Raryolder had taken me out to train. I met some undead creatures in what I was told was the older Norwick, and for the first time since being trained how to by other faithfuls in my home village, by the Masked Leaf the undead either fell or ran! The power of faith is truly a wonderful thing!

Some time passed, and I started to make many more friends, and found out there was a lovely right-sized folk town just west. One day spending some time taking care of some of the children there (who seemed very fascinated by fake foot to the point where one ran off with it! The little rascal!) Finally getting it back after a rather difficult hop-chase, I returned back to Norwick and found out that there was a battle of great heroes going on! Though I was the only gnome there, I noticed there were humans, halforcs, dwarves, hin, all participating and having fun!

I decided to compete in a team event, and was joined in a team with two hin! One, a mighty warrior named Dietrick who would crush, let alone rival most powerful human and half orc warriors there. There was also a hin named Bel, one of the most competent and crafty spellcaster I ever saw.

It was difficult though... in the two rounds I fought, the first one lasted me about 10 seconds before I had been cut down by a crafty human... the second round though went quite worse. Bel had gone invisible, and from what I was told (having passed out after the first strike), a druid kept on striking me with flames from the sky! I had survived thank the gods, but I'll be wearing a wig now for a little while until my hair grows back, as well as mister Benji being nice enough to fix the melted joints and burnt parts of my prosthetic! Ah well!

Now though, it seems I'm on a special mission, helping Dietrick find more about one named Justy, a supposed sister of a phantom that came to visit us and gave us cryptic signs, including "the four elements", earth fire wind and water, as well as people impersonating Tymorans The ghost appeared as we were discussing the wedding mister Benji and his lovely hin friend miss Talyna.

Oh! I won't forget to mention that I met Gilda, a wonderful kinfolk priestess of Garl, after getting to know eachother a little better, we decided to cause some mischief and prank those pesky kobolds that live in the kobold cave close to here.

Writing a rather offensive limerick in draconic insulting the leader's mating capabilities, then signing it with "the possible new boss", all written in draconic, then heading back out, both of us under the effects of invisibility, we really hope it will cause some pandemonium.

Eating some pie at the inn later on, we discussed future pranks to come! I need to get to know you a little better first though mister journal before I write them down! For now though, I'll just keep them locked up in my head!

Thank you for letting me write in you mister journal, I'll make sure to have more to add soon!

-Love, Pegri Chiami! Wildwanderer priestess of the Masked Leaf (Chipmonk rank)
