Lyceum of Honorable Conflict Notices

  • A few different notices seem to be tacked up in some various places in or around Norwick.

_The Lyceum of Honorable Conflict is looking to gain ground in the area. Do you have honorable values, and wish to learn or spread the teaching about waging conflict honorably in Narfell? Do you have the abilities to teach and train people in these values, or are a student who is willing to learn - and be trained by some of the most seasoned warriors in the Realm?

The Lyceum of Honorable Conflict teaches about the Laws of conflict, battle, war, respect, honor and valor, train the able and willing, arm the unarmed, and document times of conflict to better serve our honorable Warriors with knowledge. We teach about how to respect your opponents in battle and their abilities, and to respect the honorable dead. We do not condone any specific conflict, but rather, recognize that all beings no matter whom they may be will have conflict, and recognize that there are certain measures that can be taken to help resolve situations like these honorably.

The values of the Lyceum are simple:
    -Honor and respect your opponent-
    -Wage no conflict unjustly-
    -Cause no unnecessary destruction-
    -Let pride blind you not-
    -Harm not an innocent soul-
    -Let not revenge guide you-
    -Arm those who are unarmed-
-Let no conflict wage on unnecessarily-
    -War without treachery-
-Respect the will of the Honorable Gods of Battle-

These are the things that the Lyceum wishes to promote. There is no purpose in having dishonorable conflict - other than to have future dishonorable conflict. We believe that conflict should be resolved with absolute resolution in mind, and dishonorable values in conflict can bring unnecessary destruction, harmed future relations, needless death, and purposeless causes. There is certain balance in conflict and peace, and we believe honorable values promote this balance in a positive way for everyone.

If you find yourself interested, and in a position to either teach or learn, please contact me. We will begin training soon in the Norwick Commons, on the hill behind the Apothecary.

    -Devlin Desario
