No doubt you've noticed the missing women, your sisters, wives, and daughters. I've come not to grieve with you but to offer hope. I know who is responsible for this. It is the mad mage Izakiel. He took them to bind my hands to their current action. Hate me if you must for my part in that, but believe me when I say that all I want is their safe return and for him to trouble you no more.
I am doing all that is within my power to have your maids returned to you, unharmed, but I need your help. I require any information you might have on the name Baltassa and the possibility that they were murdered or slain in battle.
Time is of the essence. I ask that you trust me in this dark hour. If it comes to a choice between their lives and mine, know that I would gladly sacrifice my own.
