Gathering those that are Preparing for the Dracolich

  • Aurelia let's anyone know that she intends to provide support from behind the main line as it advances, she will hang back and ensure the rearguard is kept clear in case of a needed tactical retreat or if any wounded or incapacitated individuals need to be evacuated, it will also allow any needed supplies or provisions to be rushed from town to the lines.

    ((for anyone who doesn't think they can handle the main event or just doesn't want to clutter it can join me keeping the lines of retreat clear and if the need be running from town to the main line with supplies that are needed, or bringing fallen adventurers and there gear back to town for revival))

  • sits in the back quietly listening in on the coversation appearing to hope to learn more of the upcomeing battle

  • Kainoa quietly enters the hall moving to the back listening.

  • As talk turns to how the force will enter the city Yngdír once again lends his voice, though there is an uncertainty to his words.

    …"I was told that I am in possession of a way to enter the city by a secret way, or to open the way to the city. I have never formally understood the power, but I know the task when it is before me. I would not put every faith to the commitment of one path. The way may yet be revealed to us. More I cannot say. More I do not know."

  • "Right, so what exactly is the plan? The Legion will help those wanting to leave north. First to the tower, and then to Peltarch. But what about the actual battle?"

  • @87c759772c=SummonerX:

    I believe I will present this object to Maya. If she is willing to take the responsibility to use it. Would all be in agreement of that?

    If teach how to use, yes.

  • A large white hawk flies into the Hall, landing on the ground. Its flesh rips and its bones crack as it turns into the large barbarian Horlamin, his helmet on and his axe out, but he seems to want to talk.

    "Have found out more. Yuan-ti have scroll that say Dracolich has ability once a day to make small dragon, can make twenty at once, no more, but if die, can replace. They look like wyvern, and very resistant to all hex and natural magic. Must use blade or axe or arrow to kill.

    Yuan-ti believe Drow will attack too, but plan attack first, and are trying to scout underground.

    Like us, lizardpeople attacked for three day by undead, then leave all of sudden.

    He then waits to see if anyone has any questions.

  • I believe I will present this object to Maya. If she is willing to take the responsibility to use it. Would all be in agreement of that?

  • ((Sorry for the late responses. I've been gone most of today.))

    Albry nods her thanks to Wog and Shannon.
    Your contributions are greatly appreciated.

    Looks to Ronan, then all those present.
    I am willing to wield the weapon, if no one objects.

    Bows her head in return to Rith after being acknowledged for her assistance.

    ::Looks to Benji::

    One believes this is thine forte

    Benji takes a keen look at the puzzlebox.

    <g>Fark me.

    That's not gnomish. All I know about it is that it's magical and I don't know <g>shite</g> about it.

    ((Benji's response based on info from Lagermane))</g>

  • You know…I may have a back door entrance...

  • The Halfling Defence League

    @bd1d63f2b2=SummonerX:

    A group of us have found a weapon or two to use against the dracolich. One is a contraption of sorts that a made mage made. I'm not sure we can trust this one, but… well, we'll have to try anything at this point.

    Ronan holds up what appears to be a puzzle box of sorts..

    Only a mighty warrior will beable to use it. So whoever is decent at that sword slashing thing, feel free to volunteer.

    Dietrick tries to peep and see what is this 'only a might warrior be able to use it' weapon is and appears most curious! And if the question can asked who wishes to handle it, he enthusiastically volunteers.

    Dietrick tries to find Daisy other day in peltarch temple of triad but din see her. If sumun can sell us 'remove fear' potions, dat will help ALOTS!!!

    If theres any holy warriors or priest going, Dietrick also has a sword dat can call out the strong 'holy sword' magik, dat can help against the dracolich methinks.

  • Legion

    @c842f71524=Emerwyn:

    Who, then, thinks him or herself capable of mounting and manipulating the gnomish contraption? According the instruction manual, if well used, it is a lethal weapon against undead draconids.

    What is it? Is it magic? Is it gnomish?

    //I'll try to meet up online to take a look in game tonight. If I miss it I'll be online for the event tomorrow at the LATEST 15 minutes after the event starts (work goes right up until the event starting time, 10 minute drive home)

  • Arriving late into the meeting is a fellow in the green armour of the Peltarch Defenders, the red trimmings of an officer on his cloak. He introduces himself and gets right to business.

    "Lieutenant Lionel Williams. Assuming the good will of the Chancellor, the Senate of Peltarch has dispatched myself and a squad of our troops to be stationed within the town itself during the assault, to assist in repelling any potential counterattacks by the enemy. Or in the event of calamity and foul fortunes on the day, to hold the enemy off long enough for a final evacuation, may the gods prevent it. If there are any strategic elements of the battle plan we can assist with, I'm all ears."

  • ::Looks to Benji::

  • ::Rith nods at Ronan's words::

    You would not believe what we went through. I hope that "Super Undead Dragon Killing Weapon" is more than a bluff.

    As for the arrows, I retrieved them from a Lathanderite cache with the aid of some of the brave warriors that stand in this room today ::bowing her head slightly at Mariston and Albryanna::, and they are holy artifacts of my Church. As such I will reserve the right to use them against the Dracolich and its minions myself.

    It is only ten of them and I am an expert bowyer, so I will treasure them and make sure they do not go to waste.

    ::She then looks around the room::

    Who, then, thinks him or herself capable of mounting and manipulating the gnomish contraption? According the instruction manual, if well used, it is a lethal weapon against undead draconids.

    We'll also have arrows blessed by Lathander, that are quite powerful. Even moreso against undead. Those should be handy against a big undead dragon, no doubt.

  • We know that the Dracolich is like any lich and dragon…a powerful user of magic. What resources do thou hath for counteracting wards and magical defences?
    I wouldst aid thee in this battle, but I hath pledged assistance to Ronan on a related matter.
    //cant be there due to RL commitments//
    But this I think will be an important area to concern thineselves with. How to breach any magical defences, mundane protections are easily bypassed those of a more arcane or divine nature can prove more challenging. I wouldst take stock of what resources we hath in that area and ensure their safe arrival at the site.
    Also Lady Rith with some others recently gained some useful aid, mayhaps we should discuss what resources art available and the best utilisation of these resources?

  • " I would suggest to all, that even though undead and the dragolich will quite likely be able to see through such tricks, yet invisabilty shots should be carryed by all just in case"

  • Clay lofts his eyebrow at Hammerhand

    I don't think everybody here has consigned themselves to martyrdom just yet.

    There's nothing wrong with a good escape plan.
