As nobanion's faithfull lay wrapped in her furrs below a great Oak, she purrs gently whilst tossing and turning in her sleep as her mind wanders.
_Everything seemed as if a blurr, in her mind she remembered her life before these realms in her mind.
She remembered Samusin standing over her cot, his pawed hands reaching down to toutch her delicate features as he spoke.
"She is to be my student" sounded the low voice of the were-lion as he looked t othe childs mother "Call her Dominique, Gift of the Gods." The mothere merely inclined her head as Samusin took the child into his arms, then everything went dark again. When she next saw light it was the sun shining above her as she played in the courtyard wih Rella, the lioness cub of Renna, one of the great cats of the temple. As Rella layfully bit her and jew blood, A great roar sounded from the nearby awning and Samusing leapt to the side of the young girl, holding her in his arms despite her protests as he looked with disaproval at the cub in his still human form.
She saw flashes of her life on the plains, she was training alo, spear and sheild against the whirlwind of samusin's twin blades. she leart quickly, to remain unseen, to run, to strike quickly and efficeintly. but not all her time was spend in the courtyard training for battle. She would sit and recite holy scrupture, she would pray and listen to the teachings of Samusin's bretheren. Each day she drew breath was under the watchfull eye of the were-lion.
She remembered her last training match with Samusin, thier weapons danced in the air before, for the first time, she won. realising a fatal error in her guard she murmured a prayer as she retreated but instead she found herself deftly avoiding his strike and with inhuman speed she moved inside his guard toutched the flat of his spear to his heart, ending the match, for a moment she felt elated with her success but soon after she saw the mournfull look in Samusin's eyes.
"Its time for you to go child" Came his low animal voice. "You've learnt all I can teach you" Hearing these words she swallowed, her mother had never recovered from the loss of her father, and Samusin was the closest she had to a parent. "Yes my Lord, I will see you at morning Prayer?" she said with hope."No child, you won't. you leave our shores tonight, there are reasons I chose you to be my student and you must discover them alone." As he spoke he tried to avert his eyes from her rear and her hands, glaring at a nearby mirror. "The ship will leave tonight, it is by the temple docks." At these words her heart sank, she must leave all she had known, and loved.
"It has been An honour to teach my lady." she could not hide her shock when he lowered to his knees before her, his head to the sands of the courtyard as he raised her foot to his neck, the same way she had shown recognition of his lordship over her. "NO! you can't do this, I am bellow you! you are far above me!"
"I am not, you will see, in time." Said Samusin as she fled the courtyard, he turned to the mirror and smashed it with his bear hands "SHE COULD HAVE SEEN!"
then everything went black again…_
… She awoke with a sweat, grasping for a cloth to wipe her brow she recalled the dream, toutched her hands ot her face, carressing her own delicate fingertips with the skin of her cheeks and reaching another hand to her rear "What was it..." she asked no-one as she laid beneath the tree.
