Bbulldogs pc's


  • Had one of these written for bruno ages ago as well as various other bits and peices scattered around. I'll link them all togther for the sake of giving something to read then maybe rewrite them so as to be upto date.

    Will also add ones for Willy and Tag soon enough, their descriptions are minimum and ive not been keeping a timeline with either so will take some thinking 😉

    Bruno Galpen
    Physical characteristics

    Fairly tall compared with most folk's although though not big in height relative to girth. Standing approximately 7 foot tall.

    Build wise Bruno is much like a bold buffalo, without the horns… with a smile. Although he is very muscular he also has a 'slight' excess of body fat to the extent where if you punch him when his naked the effect's ripple around his body in a hypnotic fashion. This tickles so he likes it a lot. Bruno is not only tough like a buffalo but is also as clumsy as one. Looks like a rock, hard as a rock, moves like a rock, thick like a rock.

    His eye's although small compared with his face are warm and kind, although they have a tendency to go almost crossed if mages are talking nearby. A quick ale tends to remedy this.

    Bruno has Blond hair which he try's to keep neat and tidy. His started brushing it daily, now it almost never has bit's of left over dinner in it.

    In the past Bruno became addicted to lathender scented rubbing juices which he now wears constantly in an attempt to keep his previously excessive b.o in check. He even managed eventually to stop making attractive elven lasses hunt for hankies whenever he walks by.

    He always wears his black and gray alliance tunic of which he has multiple copies incase one is dirty he can wear another.

    Bruno, despite being an ugly brute in the eye's of most elves due to his large frame, has unique friendly features which make it hard to be scared of him (unless of course he is met in the nars pass when in full battle gear, it hurt's him quite a lot to be called a warmachine, though recently his taken more of a pacifist appraoch and can often be seen wandering in just his tunic with a staff.).

    ****Attitude ****
    In his past Bruno had fairly solid ideals as to what he considered to be good and evil, although these are often clouded by the fact he trusts anyone on first contact.
    However, due to various events in his life and his none too bright look on things his view has been clouded more than ever. He no longer cares if someone is good or evil it matters not. If they will treat him and his own well then they are fine with him, as long as they take their evil doings elsewhere and leave him alone.
    It takes something significant to make Bruno not like someone.

    Bruno really just wants to live life to enjoy it. Bruno loves sitting for hours/days at campfire's listening to stories and songs or other bardic arts. He lives in the theatre with his wife clandra, whom used to be the head mistress.

    Bruno is very loyal to his friends and would gladly risk himself to save them should they be in need. His loyalty to his friends having been more so than his god in the past, being the cause for him to have fallen from faith on at least one occasion.

    Bruno has a special appreciation of elven lady's for obvious reasons… but he thinks very little of elven men since they typically are stuck up, annoying, bonie arsed, ponsies.

    Bruno is quite emotional and it doesn't take much effort from a skilled bard in order to bring tear's to his eyes, be it by play, song, or banjo. He often has a hankie spare to blow his nose on during a dramatic performance.

    Bruno, despite being good hearted, is plain and simple dense. He sometimes comes up with incredible ideas of genius, such as using powder kegs to 'stop' a cave-in by blowing up the rocks that are falling down from the ceiling, since he is so wise. Unfortunately however if it doesn't come to him right away only dire results can occur if he thinks of a better cunning plan.

    Brunos attitude towards life presently is mainly apathic. He is set on one goal. That of setting up the alliances village, getting his family a farm, organising the alliances settlement as a safe haven for traveling caravans, using it as a homestead from which to spread shaundakuls will. He could care less about the goings on in the world about him, his goal are his own, to hell with the rest of the world.

    *Brief history of Bruno ((this is old text copied, ill rewrite this and all more for the year and a half since I wrote this, just for those that like to read stuff ^^))

    Bruno initially started off as paladin of Torm, coming to Norwick with a paladin friend Seth Marshall. He quickly made very close friends with Tassabra a nice innocent goodie rogue lass who considered herself an assassin of evil beasts and gladly allied herself with Bruno. Whilst continuing to battle evil with Seth, Bruno very quickly abandoned his strict paladin training going for lenient clerical arts. This way he opted to serve Torm more with magic than with steel.

    Over time Bruno grew apart from Seth, after a short time Seth left narfell for new adventures elsewhere. Bruno then got much closer with Tassabra eventually falling in love with her although he did nothing about this since she was with Karion at the time.
    Bruno then started to hang around with Loreene in addition to Tassabra going around for large quantities of time together. Bruno lost contact with other friends and started to only ever spend time with the two lasses.

    Tassabra started to get corrupted by Annabelle, leaving Bruno feeling helpless, wanting to help her and not knowing how too. Annabelle occasionally coming to Bruno and taunting him about not stopping her plans. He can see changes in Tassabra becoming more and more obvious upsetting him greatly.

    Bruno eventually got together with Loreene after being trapped in skaras cave for an evening, but she moved to peltarch and became a guard. Thus Bruno saw less and less of her. This got him extremely frustrated and at certain times angry.

    Bruno started hanging out a lot with Honsa and Rodi, becoming best friends, losing contact more and more with Tassabra. Honsa's fun loving barbariac ways rubbing off significantly on Bruno.

    Bruno died at the bottom of the goblin hold due to reckless behaviour from Balin. Bruno never trusting him in battle from that point onwards. All of his possessions and various very close friends including Call, serena, and honsa were lost that day.
    He had to pay back kia for his recklessness by staying in town for a few months, being told to do this initially made him angry but he did the time knowing it would be foolish to get in the friars bad books. During this time he met Velaria.

    Bruno soon left Loreene for Velaria (although he didnt tell velaria this). Bruno regretted this betrayal many a time since. He got very close with Velaria over the years following. Began to lose his faith slowly due to actions of Velaria (she strictly not believing in any god and was skilled at arguing against the case of any god, especially with Bruno's uselss intelligence he wasn’t upto much in the way of arguing).

    Bruno discovers the joys of the Keg, quite by accident. He was annoyed at how long it took to chop down tree's for Velaria(she used to make arrows and he would give her the logs for them). He came up with a blast farming plan of blowing up considerable chunks of tree's and just picking up the left overs. However this didn’t work.
    Soon after this started Bruno and Rodi (his partner in crime) were confronted in a violent battle with the druids at the south gate which resulted pretty much in a standoff after a small hin druid lass fell.
    Bruno and Rodi ended up with an elf death sentance on their heads which Braeth was able to remove, instead they were banned from the rawlins wood. This was an initial spark in Bruno for an utter hatred of elfs.
    Rodi and Bruno hereby promised the druids not to blow anyting up in the woods again. Bruno however lied and continue to keg in the forest albeit at a reduced amount. He didnt blow up tree's however, opting for goblins and other amusing mobile targets, umber hulks, deers, etc.

    Sometime around here Bruno was talking with Tassabra by the lake. Annabelle came along treating her as (in brunos eyes) some kind of puppet, as if pulling her strings to make her do what she wanted. Annabelle saying Tassabra's "time had come" and they went off to the east part of the forest.
    Bruno followed a short distance then Annabelle cast darkness on him. Bruno then got all paniced, ran to town got various friends who went off to vinessases cave. Bruno was wanting to go to save Tassabra but it appeared most people just wanted to go and kill the vampire and whoever else was with her. Rodi killed Annabelle and nearly killed Tassabra too in a fit of blind rage, however she was able to escape.
    The next time Bruno met Tassabra she spat in his face saying she hated him for trying to kill her and blamed him for the death of her vampire friend. At that point Bruno nearly attacks Rodi in blind rage but manages to restrain himself.

    Some time after, Bruno eventually asked Velaria to marry him which was declined, at least partially due to the fact that he isnt an elf himself and doesnt have a long life span, Velaria not being willing to be with someone dieing so soon. This increased Brunos dislike of the elven race. From that point on Velaria was acting strangly trying to not be around Bruno not talking to him, she then started researching undead and spending lots of time with people in the gypsy camp and extended periods in the crypts emerging covered in blood and badly injured (Bruno spent a kingly fortune on invisible potions trying to spy on her but, learned nothing). Bruno asked various people for help but Velaria covered her actions well and thus no one did anything about it.
    Some time after this Bruno went heavily into depression and moved to Peltarch trying to renew links with his god but just resulted in him liking Torm less because of it, since not seeing Velaria. During this time he splits with Velaria, not specific ending just lack on contact. Bruno then realises about Vilmar and Velaria having quickly become a couple and hates him utterly.

    Bruno then starts spending time sleeping around with various lasses, becoming particularly attached to Eowien an elven priestess of Tempus, god of war. This being due to her sharing Bruno's appreciation of powder Keg's.
    During this time when off walking with Eowien, they were both stuck down near Jiyyd by an unknown force. Upon regaining consciousness he found much of his life-force gone, wielding a melted symbol of Torm in his right hand. From this point on his prayers were never listened too. (became CN thus out of bounds of Torm)

    At this point Bruno acquired a scroll of tensors transformation which he traded to Call sanner in return for construction plans for a doomsday keg. A magically enhanced keg with a destructive wield far in excess of the standard models. However the creation of said items is complex and for ethical reasons Call refused to create one. Bruno spent a long time from then onwards searching for an ethical challenged alchemist of sufficient skill to make one. And he hasn’t found one.. yet.

    It is during this time that relations with the elfs were getting feisty. Since his falling various shifty types had tried to come close to him, not least some elf haters.
    One of them inparticular shared a hatred for the elf camp. It was at this time that Bruno had an idea of a gift for Eowien. A gift of war with the elfs and norwick! What better gift for a priestess of war than a war. So Bruno gathered some friends and attempted to bomb the elf camp.
    Unfortunatly this didn’t go well. Bruno had asked smog to join in and in doing so only brought more havoc as Smog ran right into the centre of the camp planted a keg then hitting it killing himself as well as civilian targets. The plan being to destroy the ranger guards, making it seem as a military attack.
    When Bruno offered Eowien the gift she didnt appreciate it. They split up some time after during a dramatic night in the gypsy camp which further fueled his hatred of elfs.

    Bruno starts occasionally praying at the various standing stones in the area not knowing of their importance just thinking it might help due to occasional lightling bolts that would hit them. He wouldn’t pray in any named god in particular but his love of destruction was firm in his mind. He soon started to appreciate the power of Talos.

    Bruno went around depressed for a while randomly blowing stuff up, before finding Clandra and instantly falling in love with her. But she didnt for him so that was a none starter.
    Bruno then went off and into a relationship with Raila. This went really well from Brunos perspective, and they decided to move in together once Brunos house was built. During this time however Clandra decided she actually did like Bruno after all so he started seeing her also. Eventually Bruno decides to dump Raila and hopefully sometime marry Clandra but to his dismay cute little Raila turns into a zombie before he can tell her!. (scratch 3 lasses "lost" to undead)
    Bruno gets worried for a while about Raila and tries to find her, yet soon decides not to give an arse anymore.(becoming more and more chaotic) He just enjoys spending time with Clandra instead forgetting totally about Raila.

    Bruno starts becoming on more friendly terms with some of the nasty types in the gypsy camp, before Rodi convinces him to move back to norwick to over see the building of their house.

    He then gets engaged to Clandra being happier than ever before, also starts getting on back on friendly terms with Velaria and gets to know Vilmar. No longer hates him thinking him to be a nice person and being happy that Velaria got togther with him. Despite him being a werewolf…

    Eventually receives a message from Ashan one night in the Norwick graveyards where he is requested to meet at the gypsy camp. Bruno then accepts an offer to give him his loyalty. Although that was an empty request, Bruno being as equally likely to kill Ashan should Rodi ask for help.

    Finally has his prayers from Talos answered and gains powers from him. Feels stronger now then ever before in his life. Starts testing with raising undead with some encouragement from a couple of folks in the gypsie camp. But he doesn’t like it in the slightest, not least due to his utter hatred for undead. Decides he doesn’t need to use such powers anyway, instead he concentrates on controlling the destructive powers of the skies. Kegs boom loud, clouds boom louder!

    Spends a small amount of time with Ashan over the following months hunting giants. Fails to see what the big deal is. Apart from killing a few people and using undead Ashan seems like a nice guy. Although Ashan always tried to suck up a bit too much in an attempt to get gold from Bruno for his secret project. Bruno on the other hand cared little of such matters and rather spent his gold on presents for Clandra and WFAT rubbing lotions. Also starts getting back on friendlier terms with Tassabra and Loreene, helping to raise Tass one time when she died hunting near Peltarch.

    Bruno joins the alliance to help out Velaria and heads up the crack demolition squad. Pretty self explanitory really, if there is something needing to blow up, the demo squad goes in and boom!

    Decides its best to not get involved with personally starting a war, therefore funds various others with gold so as they can do it for him. Also Bruno is utterly clueless when it comes to plans so if he can give gold to those that enjoy plotting schemes good for them. He Does one last enjoyable act of destruction by blowing up the druid grove, this causing him more trouble than he expected since the druid folk automatically went and assumed it was him that did it. Finds himself banned from the wood again.
