A young man, burden with the loss of his two loving parents, Piel and Hormony, sits alone crying behind the family estate. A man, more like a demon, had taken them from him…
..Asleep through the night, awoken by a ruffling noise down the dark corridor. Beautifuly framed paintings of ancestors line the walls, as the young boy stumbles to his parents entrance way...only to see the dead bodies of his once loving, and very alive Guardiansl The shadow of a man darkens the light from the only window, a glimmering dagger shows the very essence of life dripping smoothly onto the foor. The hooded man steps closer to the boy, raises his dagger, and slashes guitlessly at the young man. The boy flinches and raises his hands, his forearm catches the mans dagger, slicing it open and causing near mind splitting pain. The boy screams, and the dar figure bolt down he stairs and out into the cold, very unloving streets of the city. The boy runs to the rear exit and hides behind the building, hoping for th city night watch to make their way.
The boy awakes on a bed, in a very unfamliar room. He sits up and remembers what had happened not long ago. He screams for his parents, a man in a red tunic opens the door to the infimary room and tries to console the child to no reward. The boy flings his bandaged arm at the man, hitting him across the face, causing him to stop in assurement he had been hit by the boy, the orphan leaped onto the cold stone floor, and sprinted out of the room, only to enter a room filled with men in red tunics.
The boy stops, the man, now standing at his side rubbing his cheek, tells the boy he is in Vel'Nour, a monistary located in the next province over from the boys home. The man in red asks the Boys name. The young man looks up, and with an unsur tone, answers Niristie Halloud.
For years now, young Niristie has traveled the lands, living off tournement rewards and the unsuspecting pub patron. As a hollow shell, Niristie hopes to one day find peace not only for the souls of the wrongly deceased, but also for himself.
