    Grunk was part of the great Blood tribe. His tribe was one of the most brutal in Damara and played an important role in aiding the demons in defending Castle Perilous. The name originated from two things. Firstly, they were strongly affiliated with Gruumsh and therefore carried a strong bloodlust against humans, elves, dwarves, gnomes, and hin. This anger is what fueled the tribe's conquest against the other races. Their strongest area of activity was the Galena Mountains, where they hid amongst the warm caverns rooted throughout the Bloodstone Pass. Here they would raid caravans that carried goods between Damara and Vaasa. The most notable good, and a strong influence on the tribes name, was dwarven caravans carrying bloodstone. With time came prosperity. With prosperity, the orcs flourished and multiplied. And within the Bloodstone Pass, the Blood tribe helped lead the armies of the Witch-king for the chaos amongst the alternate races within Damara.

    However as the tribe came to power, it easily lost it. As a result of the Witch-Kings involvement, the production of bloodstone by the dwarven families was halted due to demons occupying the mines. And with the defeat of the Witch-King, the Blood tribe was sought out for aiding such an enemy to the people of Damara. They fled to boats and down the Galena snake to the ice lace river. With the destruction of their tribes cavern-home, they committed to achieving a goal of their great one-eyed lord, Gruumsh.

    The meager number left of the tribe would head separate ways in search of other orcish clans, and attempt to unite them all for the all-seeing one. Some would head south to Impiltur and seek orcs living amongst the Earthspur mountains. The few remaining, including Grunk, would head north to the region of Narfell, as they heard word of the growing Iron-Chain Clan. Along the way, Grunk was tragically separated from his tribe members and found him self lost within the dark woods of the Rawlinswood. And within the Rawlinswood he would meet what was to become a strong friend of Grunk, a boar whom Grunk would come to call Stinkee. The two travelled North through the lands of Narfell until they stumbled upon the city of Peltarch.
