Bridge Gone

  • Legion

The Hoaran's toll bridge is gone. Nothing remains but rubble.

//Please post any gossip you hear.

  • _Peg-legged harpy o' th' Icelace, Mercy, was nosing around near the Gypsy-controlled bank, while admiring the rubble and water where the bridge used to be as only a priestess of destruction can. Its understood that this dwarven belldam didn't much care for the aggressive singing coming from a skulking Eastlander warbler over the other side. With the shake of a hammy fist, Mercy symbolically communicated her emotions by pulling down her drawers and waggling her hairy dwarven bottom at the humming Hoaran.

After she had tucked her cheeks out of sight - though never, for those unfortunate enough to glimpse them, out of mind - Mercy amuses herself by pestering Telli, following at a distance while cooing "Teeeeeeeeeelli … Teeeeeeeellli ... Teeeelli!" - over and over again..._

  • Rumours spread like wildfire about a caravan being ambushed just north of the bridge. Every person of the caravan, including children, were killed by arrows, and the caravan was burnt. Apparently a Legionnaire, a man in black and purple and a knight looking fellow were seen in the area soon afterwards.

    • A Large half orc wearing big heavy looking armour, in leigon colours and clutching a large sword is often seen guarding Telli's operation, he seems very ready incase of Hoaren interference *

  • As the weeks pass since the destruction of the bandit bridge, activity buzzes near the opening to the east of the old bridge site. Telli seems to be directing her brothers and sisters in arms constructing a wall of protection for those wishing to travel the pass safely and free of charge. A few Druids along with Telli can be seen from time to time whispering blessings as the ore being stacked is filled in and its girth doubled.

  • Rumors begin to circulate that more and more people are hearing and learning about the free pathway south of Peltarch through the woods, enoying the scenery and the freedom to pass at any time without having to worry about a toll or the eyes of the Hoarans on them

  • *Legion troops are rumored to be continuing to stay away from the eastlander bandits, despite lots of arm waving and finger pointing by the eastlander Hoarans.

The Legion allegedly doesnt move to occupy the site of the bridge as one might expect, if they had had anything to do with it's destruction. Instead, they apparently continue to fully occupy the Woodland Pass east of the road, setting a very strong guard/checkpoint at it's southern woods opening near the crossroads, they firmly block off the opening to the west mid-pass very near to where the bandit's had signs, and they set a guard on the little hill where the Woodland Pass opens on the road north of the Legion Enlcave area.

Rumors continue that the big Legion General Grag occasionally appears on the Legion Tower balcony, tossing out gifts of chickens, ale and other trinkets to passers-by and encouraging north bound traffic along this route.

Much sawing, pounding, lifting and druidcal growing is said to be occuring near this tower, as it has now for a number of years.*

  • With the recent bridge explosion rumors circulate to a large gathering of mixed opinions near the bridge clearing east of the old bridge. Opinions range from Legion, Drow, Gnoll, Oscura, and goblins responsible for this travesty. One things certain, Hoarans are out for blood and their not opposed to firing on those innocent. Word spreads to steer clear of the old bridge area for fear of your life and coinpurses…

  • Telli's clad in her armor and bark at the southern border of the Legion Tower. Legionaries are dispensed to the surrounding locations on high alert. If Hoarans come wandering near the Legion tower their swiftly escorted by Telli and two ranking officers back to their own land.

"Betta luck wid yer next bridge bandits… bugger off."

  • mialee mentions that she heard a rumble like thunder coming from the south when she went to check it out the bridge was gone.

later she heard that another group checked it out and were attack by the hoarans near there land one was killed during that
