Borag background story.

Name: Borag
Race: Half-orc
Login: OrlakAppearance: Borag is usually dressed in plain dark brown travellers clothes or a hide armor. He carries a scimitar, wooden shield and a sling with him at all times. He is an agile and sturdy looking half-orc but does not have much muscle in him. From his clothes you can smell the scent of animals.
- Past - (not general knowledge)
Borag's earliest memories are from living among orc's as slave labor in the cold reaches of the Silver Marches. He grew up in that position only later knowing that he had been captured in an orc raid of a caravan while traveling with his human mother. The tribe decided to take him in instead of killing him and he lived with them doing slave labor for several years. This was to be Borag's lot in life because unlike the full fledged orcs, he was relatively weak and therefore no good in a fight. Somehow he managed to survive and eventually grew up some more.
Eventually the clans head shaman noticed that there was a promise of power in Borag and decided to teach him some of his skills in order to no doubt bolster his own powers more. The shaman was a powerful druid transmuter who could cast powerful spells and take on many forms from mighty forest animals to even more powerful monsters. Borag was an able learner now that he had gotten out of being the least member of the clan (now he was at least above the slaves), even though he was still doing much of his old jobs, at least now he was also learning skills that could earn him some respect.
Years went by and Borag got older and even got some of that respect from the tribes orc's who earlier always thought of him as dead weight. Unfortunately there were other shamans in the clan and most of them did not like competition. One of them, a particularly power hungry one, took notice of Borag's and was not pleased that the head shaman was teaching him his unique skills. He thought that to teach a half-breed was a disgrace and planned to destroy him. He arranged for some of the clans gold to end up in Borag's belongings and then have it "accidentally" discovered. Borag was then badly beaten and thrown off a cliff to die in the coldness of the north. Luckily by this time he had already learned some of the shamanic powers and was able to use them to save his life. He was then able to make his way on to a human-used road and was picked up by a caravan bound for the East. Because Borag was only a half-breed, he was accepted to the caravan and they were kind enough to help him back to health. There was no going back for Borag, and he managed to convince them to join their travel, paying his way with labor, being a healer and a body guard.
Borag continued to train his shaman skills in secrecy, saying his prayers to Gruumsh in private. He knew the humans would not look kindly if they knew he followed the one eyed god of the orcs. They made their way through the Anauroch desert, through Moonsea, Vaasa and Damara, at long last arriving at Narfel, where the caravans destination was. Here Borag said his thanks, getting some equipment and gold for his work with them and departed from the caravan.
Long way from home, this was a new beginning for Borag.
And so Borag comes to Narfel…
