A Messenger Seeks Out Dwin
-
- A pale and somewhat nauseous looking messenger makes his way through town seeking out Dwin.
He holds a message that seems to be bleeding or seeping into the envelope that he is holding.
He seems as afraid of the package he is delivering as whoever handed it to him. *
-
The Chancellor's eyes go wide when he sees the ale, and he might have even licked his lips. He takes the case with a slight nod to the Senior Lieutenant and looks around to see if the gift-giver is still within sight.
Seeing that he has wandered off (as is typical) he hefts the case back into the Great Hall.
If he returns, tell him I'm in residence in the Chancellor's Office. And, uh… Try not to make a lot of direct eye contact.
-
The Lieutenant hands the case of ale over to Dwin whispering to him of the meeting withhis kin…
-
Rando steps in front of this old dwarf and says
" Hello old friend… its been a very very long time...It is good to see you again"
-
- A dusty armored dwarf leads a pack of undistinguishable shapes towards Norwick. Leaning heavily on his staff he makes his way down the somewhat familiar terrain, his few possessions in a small pack on his back.
As he approaches the gates of Norwick, the forms traveling with him seem to melt into the ground or disappear in the dust. As if his wave to them is not so much a 'good-bye' as much as it is a 'get lost'.
Walking about the town, he raises a brow as he is clearly confused by the moved landmarks that may have been familiar to him.
Finding the fire he speaks with a few of the local folk, ignoring the tallie or short-lifer who addresses him in dwarven.
Asking about the chancellor, the two people who remain claim to know him. So the dwarf leaves a case of ale to be delivered to him, with a warning that the lass not drink any. If she were to die because the ingredients were not agreeable with non dwarves were not his responsibility and she had been adequately warned.
After delivering the message, he wanders off to regain some familiarity with the town and to watch its goings on.*
-
*Dwin looks closely at the message being held by the messenger and nods to him, instructing him to open it and show the contents.
Once he reads the note, he takes it from the messenger and tosses it in the fire. He heads into the Great Hall with a dark, yet confident look on his face.*
