    [OOC Mechanics]

    *** Javelin Throw**

    -Sprint: Endurance (Constitution) Check.
    -Throw: 2 (separated) Strenght Checks.
    -Aim: Dexterity Check.

The total of meters that the javeling has been thrown at is calculated by the following formula: 2 * (Strenght Check 1 + Strenght Check 2) + (Endurance Check) + (Dexterity check - 10). This means that a clumsy throwing can reduce the amount of meters the javelin is thrown at. To calculate the distancy lost by bad aimed throws we will use a formula that is easily explained with an example. Rolling a 7 in the Dexterity check would mean 10 - 7 = 3; so (10 - 3) - (10 - 2) - (10 - 1) = -6 meters. A natural 1 in the Dexterity check will result in a critical failure that can produce an injury. Each participant will perform three attempts in a single common round. The highest distance wins, the second is Runner up and the third is Finalist 1 for the prizes. Only the highest score of each participant will be taken into account.

Example: Kroq-Gar sprints at a good rhythm (14 Endurance check) Throws the javeling with with great might (21 and 16 Str Checks) but with poor aim (5 Dex check) so he throws the javelin at 14 + (212) + (162) + (-5-4-3-2-1) meters = 73 meters.

    *** Weightlifting**

    -Lift: Strenght Check.
    -Raise: Strenght Check.
    -Hold: Strenght Check.

The mechanics for the wightlifting are the following: The participants have three attempts to lift a weight of their choice. The weights lifted must be multiples of 10. This will set a DC of (weight divided by 10). In order to lift such weight, the participant has to beat the DC in three consecutive checks. If the participant misses one check by 5 or less, he staggers or struggles, but doesn't drop the weight. This is only allowed one time per stage of the lifting (Lift, Raise and Hold). A second miss by 5 or less, or any miss by more than 5 will result in automatically dropping the weight. A miss by 10 or more will be a critical failure and will hurt the participant with diferent consequences, from direct damage, to cripplings.

Example: Kroq-Gar decides he can lift 140 Kgs. He pulls hard and confident to secure the weight on his chest (18 Lift check) raises slow but sure (14 Raise check) but in the attemtp to raise the weight over his head and hold it, feels his strenght failing (10 Hold check). However, he manages not to lose the weight and stabilize again, and in a prodigy of physical might with a shout of rage he raises the weight over his head and holds it long enough to be valid (22 Hold check). He has lifted 140 Kgs. successfully.

    *** Longjump**

    -Sprint: Endurance (Constitution) Check
    -Jump: 2 (separate) Strenght Checks

    -Aerodinamic penalty: Constitution.

This will work this way. Each participant has 3 attempts to jump, the farther the better. The formula is (Endurance * 5) + (Strenght Check 1 * 5) + (Strenght Check 2 * 5) - (Constitution modiffier * 10). Those are the centimeters that the participant jumped over 6 meters. Monks get a bonus of 10 centimeters/monk level. (This doesn't reflect any written rule, is just what I believe fair to keep the competition open for everyone)

    Example: Kroq-Gar gets ready for his long jump. He runs over fire (Sprint Check 22) and jumps with great force (Jump Checks 12, 21). The distance he jumped is 600 + (225) + (125) + (215) - (310) cms. = 600 + 110 + 62 + 105 - 30 = 847 cms = 8.47 m.

    *** Armwrestling**

This competition will be eliminatory. That is, participants will be paired and compete in pairs, the winner advances to the next round until we have a champion. It will work like this: Both participants will make an opossed Strenght Check. The one getting higher score, gets equal Muscle Points to the diference between his roll and his rival's roll. When these Muscle Points are superior than the Constitution of the rival, he wins the match. I will not use example because it's very easy to understand and hard to make an example. For Barbarians using Rage, they can use the benefits of the Rage for as many Strenght Checks as their modified Constitution (just as Rage works). If when the Rage runs out their rival has more Muscle points than their original Constitution, they feel strenght leaving their arms and lose. However, while in Rage, the modified constitution counts for resisting being beaten.

    *** Archery**

-Shooting targets, all distances, fix or mobile: We will use the archery targets scripted by Anabelle. No, they are not random, they are scripted and work wonders. For mobile targets we will use an aditional Reflex save, DC 10 for short range, 15 for medium and 20 for long. Failure substracts one zone from the hit (So in example, if it was Inner Ring, it becomes Middle Ring) plus another zone for each 5 units failed from the save. In example, if in the Reflex Save versus DC 20 is rolled 7 and the participant hits a Bull's Eye, he will actually have hit a Middle Ring (Nearly Bull's Eye, Inner Ring, Middle Ring)

    -Longshot:

    -Aiming: Dexterity Check.
    -Tensing: Strenght Check.
    -Shooting: Attack Roll.

(Dexterity Check * 2) + (Strenght Check * 5) + (Attack Roll * 5) = meters that the arrow flew. The longer the better, three attempts per participant, only counts the highest.

-Powershot: Ten shots on a target, in this discipline the damage is what matters. All damage dealt to the target is summed (including Critical Hits), after the tenth shot the three best get the prizes.

Death Arrow: A creature will be released in the shooting field. All the participants must be ready to shot, together. As the creature steps out of the box, all participants may shoot any number of arrows to strike it down. Whoever gets the killing blow scores one point. Whoever scores ten points first is the winner.

    *** Combat**

    - X vs X tournaments: Non lethal combats, wins who disables their oponents first. Tournament style by rounds, winner advances round, loser is eliminated.

    - Deathmatch: Non lethal combat where all the participants fight together in the arena free for all. Any tactic is allowed (like pretending you are not there until there are fewer fighters, or grouping, aiming to last longer or eliminate harder rivals). Only the last standing wins. This is the greatest event and the one with the most elevated prize by far in all tha Royal Battle Games.

Arena - Beastfighting: Still working on it, more info soonish.

I will be expanding more info about concrete prices and times for every event. It will be held next weekend probably (not this one coming). Feel free to add In Character comments.

"I can't even remember the last time I felt the thrill of a good competition… Might be fun to see if I've learned anything in my years."
