_As the morning fog clears from the fields of Norwick, dark forms lying upon the ground appear amongst the dew covered foliage of the fields. The bodies of the cows, sheep, and other grazing animals start to rot as the Spring heat warms them. After the carcasses have been cleared of the fields, the farmers and their families talk of seeing a single hole, no more than a finger width in diameter, in the hide of each animal with a dark substance surrounding the entry wound.
At least one sample of the material was delivered to town hall for study but the bodies were quickly disposed of so as to not affect the health of the live graising animals.
The circumstances and seeming randomness of the deaths is puzzling to the community…_
