Council of Clerics

  • _Word spreads via messengers to the religious orders that Justicar requests an open meeting with the leader of each order to take place at the Meeting Hall. Those arriving note the meeting hall has been cleared out and chairs have been placed in a circle facing the center of the room. The only two points where chairs are missing is towards the entrance of the Hall and the far end where Justicar stands talking to several guards. An elderly man seems to be at his side (que Mord). Several more guards stand at the doors in the room. Against the walls are several tables with food and drinks along with a handful of servants. Seems the meeting has also attracted onlookers that peer in and are allowed to watch though not allowed near the tables.

    Seems Justicar is awaiting more of the Orders to arrive before starting._

  • With no questions forthcoming, Justicar gestures for his men to follow.

    Please, eat, drink and discuss.

  • Justicar looks about after nodding to Mord. After a few moments of seemingly scanning the room he begins to speak.

    Thank you everyone for coming on such short notice. There is much work to be done for our Oscura. We have for too long been torn by hidden strife and sometimes not so hidden. But thru it all we have maintained the principles of our home.

    :: steps forward a few steps::

    You represent the faith of our home. When our people seek moral guidance you are the ones that are there to help them find their way. You are an integral part of our home and for far too long the full strengths that you have to offer have not been realized.

    I do not pretend to understand the differences in your tenants. I leave such discussions amongst the clerics. I do trust that each of you have at least one thing in common, this is your home and you wish to see her prosper.

    Today, here and now I want to put forth a proposal for each Order.

    :: pauses::

    There are many things that need done for Oscura, some that require special skills, special talents that only your Orders may be able to offer.

    I want each of the Orders to form a squad entirely of their own people. Several if you have the man power. From these squads tasks will be assigned suited to the squads talents.

    The better these tasks are performed, the more likely other tasks will be found.

    :: pauses::

    Now you are asking how does this benefit your Orders?

    Simple. Foremost this will benefit Oscura which will benefit your Order. Your activities will be noted, and the populace will know of your deeds likely bringing in more donations and converts to your cause. Lastly, certain tasks will be rewarded from the treasury.

    Now there will be questions. Ask.

  • The priest Allanon Leonsin is present. Dressed in his ebony and green robes, he quietly looks over the meeting with which his Imperceptor is involved. Although not taking a seat of rank at the center of the room, he does sit to the side and enjoy the free food and refreshments.

    The squat figure seems somewhat interested in the grey haired man, keeping his helm on at all times.

  • The gray haired man leans close to Justicar and speaks quietly to him, glancing at each of the Clerics as they enter, listening as Justicar speaks in return. As the room slowly fills he steps back slightly behind Justicar and to one side, easily overlooked in the rarified atmosphere.

  • Another priest of Bane arrives, this one wearing some regalia that could be assumed to indicate rank or leadership. Those in-the-know will call him an Imperceptor.

    He speaks quietly with the other priest.

    A squat figure in smokey black armor arrives. He sits in a secluded corner and is silent, watching Justicar from behind a grey helm.

  • As Clerics begin to arrive the servants begin bringing over selections of foods and drinks from Oscura. Hard to find items like selections of seafood and Moonberry Wine is also present.

  • One of the first to arrive, is a man dressed in cloth of green and ebony, his hood drawn over his head. His robes are adorned with the Black Fist, the telltale sign of Bane. He takes his seat quietly, speaking only when spoken too.
