Whispers at the Fire

  • Eilonna states she only is curious as to the mans well being. That she was aiding the guard and nothing more and as much as she may dislike the goblins presence in town, she was looking out for its well being. Also stating that all she advised was for the goblin to be looked into as it was claiming Dwin as a Dreaded Overlord.

  • @1347cb084e=destinysdesire1:

Eilonna is seen speaking with the Harold and a few others of power in the city on the views of slavery with this goblin and asking how Dwin got the title Dreaded Overlord? From there she suggests the goblin be questioned before Dwin is permitted anywhere near the creature to find out if this is actually slavery or something else

Answers given is that the militia is well aware of these facts, that cannot be mistaken with slavery, and due to reasons that cannot go public, the goblin was allowed in the city.

It is also pointed out that someone that wishes to work as a scout of the Great Realm of Norwick SHOULDN'T jump into conlcusions and advise for actions that can jeopardize someone's image.

It is finally remembered that it is a scout's job to gather information so that decisions can be made.

  • A somewhat comical sight was witnessed recently in Norwick, with Timmot and a youngblood adventurer chasing a goblin around. The goblin swore he belonged to "Overlord Dwin" but ended up in jail nonetheless. A kinder fate than greenskins deserve, it was agreed, but Dwin may have some explaining to do now.

  • Late in the evening, long after the sun goes down, Dwin is seen dragging an unconscious dwarf into the hold. The dwarf seems to be spitting up something and bleeding a little though nothing serious. After the dwarves disappear rumors begin to spread, could that of been the two dwarven Senate Candidates, and what has Moigan gotten himself into?!

  • A host of adventurers were seen at the old fairgrounds challenging each other to duels and even holding an impromptu archery contest. It lasted all through the night until the first rays of dawn. The words "Good fight, and good night!" were heard before each went their own way.

  • Gnarl and Romulus were seen entering the South Gate discussing a venture they just completed in the Howling Woods. They went to look into rumors of well armed and experienced goblins, but found none. But deep in the deepest part of the Howling Woods cave they ran into a small army of hobgoblins, and four cockatrice, including a big mama one. Romulus got petrified, even though he was invisible, but Gnarl saved the day by killing the mama and the most aggressive one. A large pile of stones that might have been cockatrice eggs were found in the back corner.

  • Whispers are spread that the young elf normally seen standing on the tower hasn't been seen in days. She was last seen going to Peltarch and hasn't been heard from since then.

  • … and a few hours later the red mageling strolls down the hill from Norwick, following a trail of purple footsteps. Finally, at the end of the trail she can carefully inspect the quality of the dwarven handywork... she nods approvingly, and heads back to town...

  • Legion

Five dwarf workers return from the Rawlinswood half covered in purple paint.

One comments "Easiest 'undred coins I ever made!"

They head straight for the Hold for an ale.

  • A figure becomes quite the common seen up on the archers tower at the southern most gates, a young elven woman in green leathers with a green cloak, in her hands a fine Elm Longbow. She spends some time speaking softly with the guard uptop the tower during the nights, other times she just stands and stares out quietly watching the movements. By dawn she is commonly out the southern gate patroling the Howling and ensuring the goblin population remains low, though she informs the guardsmen she is looking for a man named Cecil who apparently has been working very hard to reform Norwick.

  • A red mageling, a horc and a dwarf enter through the south gate and tells the half sleeping Raumviri guards that the goblins are unusually active, however, that they seem to have developed cilivilized manners to warn adventurers.

"Beware of elites, marksmen, casters and tossers amongst the usual ankle biters around the lake"….They say before they stroll up the hill and in to town

  • Rumor has it, that one of the local hunters has a brand new Goblin statue! He says he found it in the wolfwoods, just sitting around like somebody didn't want it anymore! He also said he saw at least one more… but could only carry one home!

  • @83680917bd=The_Rose_Of_Teroldys:

A limping party exits the Norwick crypts - including local longshanks guardsman Cecil, knights Allestor, Ashena and Talindra, woodsy apple lover Danika, and magely queen of the lake Maria - looking completely worn out and severely battered. Despite this, Ashena wears a huge grin all across her face, one which stays in place as a scattering of items are distributed and more and more of the party scatters aswell. Eventually, the smile fades a bit as she is left with all the undesirable items to be sold. Loading the saddlebags of her trusty paladin steed Fury, Ashena brays a quiet, mournful 'Eeee-aww' and clip-clops north, slow and steady.. and still smiling.

::A red-clad Shallyah was seen following them shortly after, apparently bleeding abundantly and looking for them. Whether she got lost or just straggled while hunting for some food along the way seems to matter little as she headed back north towards Peltarch::

  • A young lathanderite was seen entering the south gate as in a daze, stumbling, pale faced drained from blood. Somehow she managed her way up the small hill to the temple of Chauntea…. was she bitten by a wolf or something else

  • Robyn the duelist and María, the local Magelin are seen all night near the fire inside of the inn, talking for the most part, though the casual laugh can be heard now and then. A rare sight, indeed.

  • The red mageling is seen entering the Grapewine, she is asking for a large private room for undetermined time and pays 1000 coins up front, muttering:

"I need some peace and quiet time"

She flashes a smile and walks upstairs

((1000 gp will be paid next available IG DM))

  • A party of (mostly) wounded adventurers dragged itself into South Gate late at night. One, the half-orc Legionaire Eregor, could barely crawl supported by the small form of a nearly crushed druid Aoth. Gnarl and Legion Captain Romulus followed, brandishing weapons. While entering, the dwarven weave engineer Fafir got slapped in the face by the swinging gates and retaliated. The flimsy gates immediately collapsed in a heap of splintered balsa wood.

The party was returning from the East Rawlingwoods where they encountered a large band of "boss hobs". There were casters, archers, a singer, big boss fighters and their minions. These were found both inside and outside the Hobgoblin Chief's cave, but one boss caster was encountered far to the west before they party even entered the woods. Although they gave out better than they got, the party apparently did not succeed in destroying all the hobs and had to retreat with two of their members close to death. Cecil will want to hear about this!

  • A red-haired Romani girl has recently appeared in Norwick. The people at the tavern remember spotting her on the back of a hay cart with a withered old woman from Peltarch the first night she was seen. She's been patrolling with Cecil and his party, and has taken to spending most of her time in the city asking the locals and travelers for any information regarding the clearing of the gypsy camps. Something on her face suggests she might have been one of the last to leave of their own free will, and her ignorance to the events in the camps and anxiety as to the fate of her family might be alleviated with some short, informative conversation.
